What happens when other programs offer him money?

Precisely another big reason why they’re desperate to get him to reclassify. I proposed the same comment months ago and people laughed and said the Carr’s are too wealthy to care. I can tell you that’s not true. If a $9 million bag presents that’s a lot of money, even if you’re well off, unless you’re Elon Musk. Thankfully nobody in the Midwest is crooked enough to offer bags.

Have heard much about CJ reclassifying lately. Would love to take a grad transfer next year and have CJ on sidelines learning playbook.
There are people here who want him to start for ND this upcoming Saturday.

You're asking for time? Patience?

This is the way. Get him on campus as soon as possible. Get him some actual PT whenever it permits even if he isn't the true backup. If it's 4 games or less, great. If not, if he's as good as we think he is he won't need his redshirt year.

Can Rees call Daniels and Slovis and tell them that he meant to actually take them as a transfer and not push them away (ala George Costanza telling Steinbrenner he was really on vacation and not quitting his job in the first place)??;)

I guess I don’t understand the argument from those that think him staying in high school another year is better than being the scout team QB at ND for a year. The competition is weak, at least the last few weeks. What more will beating these future plumbers do for his development?

What’s wrong with plumbers?

Wow seriously? Some of them might become general contractors…

Heading to Ann Arbor (unfortunately) on Friday with some pals to watch him play.

Ann Arbor Pioneer is 1-4, so hoping to see CJ ball out and get out of that hell hole of a city by halftime.

28-0 Saline at the end of the first. CJ Carr only one incomple pass, 3TDs. Easily over 100 yards. Threw a sick back shoulder to set up their second score. Kid can really spin it. Great pocket presence, one play they brought some pressure, he had all kinds of room to run but he stepped up in the pocket, kept his eyes down field and found a check down for a nice first down

Interesting that Tommy was checking out CJ instead of a 23 QB... unless of course CJ is the 23 qb.
He is and has been for a while, IMO. Otherwise we'd be hearing how Rees has been pushing hard for Minchey or Johnson and they'd be planning visits to ND. The thing that sucks is Rees will likely put us behind the 8-ball with 2024 QB's. I haven't heard anything about top-tier 2024 QB's scheduling visits to ND, much less Rees pushing hard for them in the event that (*when*) CJ reclassifies.

Big picture Cj is more important than anyone still available or flippable in '23
Bingo. And he really looks the part. They let him loose in the 2nd. They got a comfortable lead in the first with a few easy throws no longer than 10 yards that the receivers just broke on long runs, then in the 2nd he threw a couple of nice downfield throws, really just an over matched secondary. But the back shoulder throw on his second completion in the first...it was impressive. Especially at the HS level. I'll look for the highlight videos this weekend
