That's my dream... That ND this year and next become the ND version of the Joe Burrow-led 2019 LSU squad or the Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith-led 2020 Alabama squad and they just air it out and run madly over everyone and NO ONE can stop them.
So not just winning, but winning most games by run-up scores, having complete confidence that they will dominate and win every game!! 🍀🍀🍀

It would look at bit different, because we dont have the elite receivers those teams had, but between the D, the RBs, and the complimentary pass game I think it's possible.

Denbrock talking about how they're going to just ease him in and be cautious with how they approach it.... Am I taking crazy pills that this might actually be some sort of psyop and they're going to air it out?

I think you will see 2 RB sets early and often

In 2018 neither did LSU! Burrow only threw for 16 TDs and had the same top 3 receivers on the roster. Development matters too

I mean that 2020 Bama team, offensively, was legitimately stacked. Najee Harris, Jaylen Waddle, Davonta Smith (Heisman), Evan Neal, Alex Leatherwood. I mean that's just a crazy amount of talent.

I expect ND's offense to be good, but that's probably the second best offense of the last decade behind 2019 LSU. Depth everywhere. They just rolled teams.

Davonta Smith in particular was like a man among boys. While Jeremiah Smith is elite, I felt like you couldn't even contain Davonta, he just always seemed to be open and destroying defenses. At the time he was the first WR to win the Heisman in 30 years, and only like the 5th one ever.

Couldn't help but rewatch his spring game passes in anticipation for tomorrow. Can’t wait to see some Irish Carr Bombs in a real game.

So excited to see CJ's unveiling today. The one thing he's got that these other teams who had qbs debuting is an oc in Denbrock who knows how to protect young guys and not put too much on him.

I expect a run heavy offense 60/40 today and for A&m. Lean on the run and defense. These first two teams don't have enough firepower to force them out of gameplan helping Carr avoid dumb mistakes.

I expect <30 pass attempts unless this goes sideways.

So I’ll admit I haven’t followed offseason stuff much the last couple years,…. What’s the general camp rumors on Carr, why’d it take so long to name him starter? Any troubling issues, or has he practiced like a legit five star? Or do we all collectively know next to nothing until gametime?

Rooting for Carr people need to keep calm and relax if he comes out and just plays okay tonight it’s his first start in a very hostile environment. Curious how much they unleashed him. Or will they rely mainly on the run games

It took a long time to name him because Marcus Freeman has been organizing and running a large scale psy-op hiding that he is sitting on Joe Burrow 2.0

Because Minchey was out playing him enough to make it a real competition. In the end Freeman said he "went with my gut".

There’s was also speculation(cause none of the beats know), that Carr started out slow

Yeah, maybe. Carr having complete access to the playbook feels like a big deal to me and if he's better pre-snap, it makes sense that he would've really had to shit the bed.

And Prister said he has seen the advanced analytics and Carrs stats "screamed" better than Mincheys

So Freeman's Minchey comments could just be him playing delicate
That whole situation is odd. II is first site to start really banging the drum that Minchey would be named starter, ND reaches out to them to tell them it isn't true, which II reports to NDs chagrin. He then gets leaked the advanced analytics for said QBs for all of fall camp.

I think we may have the edge on the lines. Miami has some dudes but ND is deeper and has more well-rounded units.

Like the ND-Bama game in 2012, ND had some dudes on the line, but once you got past those 3-4 dudes, Alabama had a huge advantage. Even for a guy like Mauigoa, it's going to be daunting to have Bryce Young, Boubacar Traore, Josh Burnham, Jordan Botelho, Junior Tuihalamaka and Loghan Thomas thrown at you all day.

Miami's DL doesn't run quite that deep. You need to keep Bain and Messidor in check, but after that, there's a lot of question marks.

Agreed, we have significant depth and coaching advantages over Miami. Miami is at home and does have some high end talent, but the game is in our hands. We're the better team so if Miami wins it will end up being due to mistakes and letdowns on our end. If ND plays clean we win. I don't think Miami has the horses to keep up for 4 quarters.
