Why both ways? Let him be a safety. Keep him there, develop him there.... why stunt it by trying to get him to learn a whole other playbook. I understand he's fast, but so are a few of the offensive commits coming in. They can run bloody go routes, mate.
Why because he is athletic enough to do so, and until I see 4-5 guys on our team capable of playing WR then I will say otherwise. You can't play the same 3 WR's 80% of the game should be rotating guys left and right.

Ton of Notre Dame likes on twitter last night hopefully he ends up in this class. Freeman should let the kid play both ways, Bowen is a different player could be a difference maker on defense and offense.
As in him liking ND stuff or ND people liking his stuff? Important factor.

There are some good receivers coming in. I think they can handle the concerns. Your 5-star safety should remain at safety. A coach should only move a player to a different position if you feel he has a higher ceiling. Bowen's athleticism and speed would be great at WR, but most can argue that it is more impactful as a safety, especially for ND where most of our safeties are somewhat limited in athleticism.

FWIW, ISD also said the Oregon visit is more for Eli than Peyton.

Which bodes well for Peyton. But not so much for Eli.

Limar and brother will reportedly be there as well.

We learned last year to not write off any visit elsewhere regardless of reasoning given. You can say no to visits as some other commits have shown.

One at a time.
But there's only one reason a kid from Texas goes to Oregon and it's a game we don't play. We're already battling A&M on this one...

Teams will neg recruit ND by saying they have an NBC deal…but the announcers are Jason Garrett and Jac Collinsworth.
