The difference is cheaty guaranteed NIL like tamu is doing and potential NIL like KH got by being at the biggest brand in football. If you are Devin Moore very likely all you are gonna get is what Florida guarantees you now. If your an Arch Manning combine with UND name then the legit third party NIL money is exponentially larger

No one is a lock in the south if you saw what Texas A&M pulled off though. I know the money is flying around but keeping top 100 talent like a Keeley just got even harder without regulations existing. Really hope Bowen commits, key is keeping this group together to give ND the best chance to get a big time QB to commit to Freeman this cycle.

TAMU and UT both excelled in recent recruiting, and agree that it will become even harder to snatch Tx talent if those two are operating at high throttle. Elko leaving didn't affect Aggie defensive haul one bit, they picked up 5* CB Denver Harris yesterday(one of two teams with five 5*s)

I have a $u$picion that A&M is $elling $omething el$e be$ide$ a good product on the field and good coache$/good relation$hip$ with the $taff to get all the$e elite recruit$

Does Bowen have a less likely chance to commit if ND does not get Jackson Arnold?

Second question: would you rather have Moore and Tate OR all 3 Denton Guyer kids?

Less likely? I suppose some % less because it can always help but I doubt of any significance.

Moore and Tate, IMO.

I want say Moore and Tate, but only because of the current state of WR recruiting. If CJ and Amorion had stuff I would have say no brainer the Denton kids. Bowen is an elite athlete, and could probably play WR but moreso because a pipeline to Guyer and more emphasis on kids from this area of Texas would be a huge boost in the long game beyond just the hypothetical either / or proposition you present. The impact of going into the one of the upper echelon teams in Texas and taking all 3 of their Class of 23 studs would raise some eyebrows.

Reminds me of Tony Driver, great balance, body control, nice strides, good enough speed.

Gotta be soon right?

Well if you play follow the Sinclair:

Rhett: CB on 12/06, Committed on 12/11
Irvin: CB on 9/21, Committed on 9/22
Shuler: CB on 8/10, Committed on 8/15
Flanagan: CB on 8/6 Committed on 9/2
Keeley: CB on 6/26, Committed on 6/28

P Bowen: CB on 12/18, ___________

Drayk Bowen is the only 2023 commit he had in for an extended period. Maybe Peyton has a Christmas Day surprise in him?

Spot on. Guyer is like Allen and Southlake....perennial DFW area schools with D1/NFL talent. Getting the Guyer kids would be huge as that school in routinely mined by TAMU, UT, OU, Okie Stae, etal.

Agreed. We live in Frisco so very familiar with the talent in the area schools. Notre Dame would be very wise to do everything they can to get into Guyer and Ryan big time. In the past 2-3 years there have been 6-8 top 100ish recruits from those two schools alone. Short of being an IMG say, there are very few schools around the country putting out that volume of truly elite players.

Was there anything of note in Loy’s Christmas article? I’m assuming Bowen was one of the top 5 he sees in the class? Any surprises?

He said Peyton will be Irish. He thinks gray will be Irish. Also said he thinks Irish pull the upset on Muhammad

Agree on Bowen/Gray (unless we screw something up with Gray) but disagree with Muhammad. I would be very surprised if he ends up at ND, think he ultimately takes NIL money to stay somewhere south.

Bowen is such an important recruit to have. This kid could end up being one of the best in this class. He has played both ways in his team and is a good kick returner. Wonder how many DB’s ND will take in this class with Bowens brother being in 2014 and Woodyard looking like he will end up at ND as well
