In addition to his bump to 90 on 247, he's getting a ratings bump soon from Rivals (according to Adam Gorney) as well which is likely to make him a composite 4 star.

Man, I missed a lot of good QB talk today.

In terms of talent. Put with me with some of you that like Minchey the best. Best all around skill set. I think all of the other options have fairly glaring weaknesses. Deep class, still some solid options.

And, I’d have offered Minchey first or at the very least, at the exact same time. Because this starts to get eerily similar to the Moore/Vizzina situation with Novosad and Minchey. Even if you believe Novosad to be the better prospect, which it seems they do, Minchey would seem to be the easier target. So, while you may like Moore/Novosad better, do you like them that much more to make it worth the risk of alienating the other target. In the end, this may not matter. They could offer Minchey and land him. But, every QB not in the Top 10 is thinking about ND offering Novosad, right now. And, that feeling could’ve been Minchey’s.

Don’t see why it has to be one before the other versus both at the same time. And continued to be puzzled by the targets they choose. I think Novosad is a long shot at best but I’ll be happy to be proven wrong if he’s their guy and they land him.

Offer Minchey. See who gets to campus first.

The offensive class has essentially been built. Waiting on three more skill players and they'll likely land all of them. Pitt has quite a few offensive verbals, especially on the OL, but ND's class is more on par with where Minchey is rated. It's just the truth. Tell him that.

"These will be your classmates. What say you?"

At 101:50 they breakdown Minchey's highlights. I have to say, this kid looks insanely underrated. Some of his passes are just sick the way he so easily drops 40-50 yard dimes.

Stop messing around w/Novosad and make this Short King an offer he can't refuse so we can all stop talking about quarterback recruiting for a little bit.

I really hope Rees doesn’t turn this into a one by one offer situation like he did in 2022 cycle. It may not matter but I really hope we don’t wait for a Novosad decision before offering more QB’s.

Really good breakdown from IB, I'm all in on this kid. I think he's severely underrated and would love for him to get an offer asap.

I think we can afford to wait because: 1. We already have a 24 QB commit and 2. Should know relatively quickly whether or not Novosad has real interest in ND. Minchey doesn't appear to be actively looking around (yet at least), while Novosad has been looking around for a while now. Highly doubt that waiting 2-3 weeks will matter.

With Novosad versus Minchey I think Minchey is clearly the better player now as I’ve mentioned but I would hear the argument of well Novosad has more potential which is better in front of someone like CJ. If someone paid to do this could guarantee Novosad’s velocity would improve noticeably with added mass it’d have to say I get that route too

I haven’t heard anyone talk about that, but it absolutely is going to be a thing if they’re serious about that policy.

I could be wrong but I believe it was cited as the reason they cancelled the CB that is committed to Texas Tech's OV

Rees recently followed him on Twitter. Hope that means an offer is imminent.

A few Penn State assistants started following him as well - makes sense considering they lost Stokes last week to UF.

I didn’t expect to like Minchey as much as I did and I’m not quite sure why, but he may have the best touch out of any quarterback I have watched this cycle. He dropped as many dimes over the shoulders of receivers in one highlight video as some quarterbacks do in a four-year span in college.

My bigger questions about him are that he’s definitely not a runner, though he can escape the rush, and he can put some zip on the ball in tight windows when he has to, but I wouldn’t say his arm talent is close to elite.

Accuracy and touch are about as valuable as any skill for a quarterback and he is a plus in those two categories in a big way for me.

Before he committed to Pitt ,he was not a guy with a ton of significant offers and his stock is up after the Elite 11. I wouldn’t be surprised to see teams try to get more involved with him and Notre Dame may do so as well.
