So they worked out some guys last Tuesday. Not sure who all did but multiple mentions that Adon was one of them. Singer today said the staff was really impressed.

Loy said he likes ND here but I don’t see any CB so how confident is that?

Interesting. He must be good if he is a take this early. As a safety, he is a great prospect. Decent ball skills and cover skills but his bread and butter is run support. He looks like he enjoys contact and gets to the ball efficiently with good angles and quick recognition. Looks pretty athletic as well. I trust Freeman on this one.

Freebie from Loy. Says he’ll definitely be back at ND sooner rather than later. Doesn’t sound like a guy that’s going to commit somewhere else.

A real safety with backend flexibility. Plays mostly FS in highlights but appears to have the frame to grow into a defender who you can put in the box down the line.

Jamie at ISD rated him at DB and gave him a 4*/91.

Visited ND, MD, BC and PSU in the past week.

Not a burner. Ran 11.89/100m Soph year.

Also the #2 WR on the team Soph year with 10 rec ... 136 yds ... 1 TD. Plays with 2 P5 WR's in the '23 Class. Nasir Addison & Famah Toure.

Freeman has been on Shuler since he was at Cincy. Has a good relationship with Shuler's HC.

Shuler played his Soph year at 14 years old and turned 15 second semester. That means he'll be 17 his freshman season in college. Age wise, he should be a '24 kid. That means he's got an extra year in the prime physical development years. Great... another Rover.

Yea, would be a lowkey big pickup here as it creates a lot of flexibility for the staff moving forward. Getting Shuler so early allows them to narrow the board and comfortably wait for guys like Love (105), Downs (43), Daughtery (82), and Bowen (117).

Also, Singer at BGI has mentioned maybe 3 or 4 times how impressed the coaches were with his workout performance. There is nothing I that feel better about than in-person evals/workouts from the coaches.

I wouldn't be against getting all of the Denton Guyer kids so throw Yaites on that list too. Wonder if there is some position flexibility between those three (Yaites, Bowen, and Shuler).

And that's kind of why I didn't include him. I know he's listed as a S at 247 but he played almost exclusively as a CB for Guyer. Since I don't know what he's being recruited for, I just left him off. But, yes, he's another name that could be in play

Don’t know a definitive list but I think a handful of DBs did was the somewhat specific focus. Avery Johnson was spur of the moment he technically didn’t visit to camp (maybe Rees was always gonna test him though)
