Sayin had his worst completion % in a game since Texas today versus Rutgers without Tate and Smith. He’s averaging like 170 yards per game the last two games

Love saying he doesnt know if this is last game ND stadium says a lot. He wants to have 1 more year to break all the records so pay that man

I think he has a better shot than people think. He’s gonna get A LOT of first place votes from people who just think he’s the best player in the country and Mendoza / Sayin aren’t good enough to win it. Mendoza / Sayin are going to split the group of people who will only pick a QB bc it’s the most important position.

He could really use a shitty Sayin performance against Michigan and bad Mendoza performance in the B10 championship against a top defense.
If he has a similar performance against a fairly stout Stanford D he’s the winner. Need to highlight his blocking more. Few more swing passes for him to work his magic in space.

As much as I would love that, he absolutely should not be coming back next year. He doesn't have anything to prove. He's a game changer, has proven himself as a runner, pass catcher, and blocker.

IMO when it doubt RBs should always go. For a RB the goal is to get to the second contract with as little mileage as possible because the second contract is where the real money is made. If you're projecting out as a top 10 pick you need to go to the draft.

Another thing going against Sayin and the QB from Alabama is there has been very recent QBs at the same schools who are considerably better than them probably more than one. Not sure how relevant that would be but I am just making stuff up.

its up in the air. watch his post game presser. I bet he's back and finishes his degree and we win 2 ncg's along the way
I think the only way this possibly happens is if he doesn't win the Heisman, somehow doesn't win the Doak Walker award and we lose in the playoffs to some flukey shit. And then he has the unfinished business as his motivation. I just dont see it happening

I know it would help ND in the short term to have Love back, but him going to the NFL and tearing it up helps ND in the long run. Imagine if he becomes someone like Saquon Barkley? You don't think that's helped PSU's RB recruiting the last several years?

I can't remember who said it in the post game but this credit goes to them.

If you look just look at the top twenty plays of each of the Heisman contenders from this season J.Love wins the award.
you could probably extend that to the 20 worst plays as well.

I think @arndtjc or one of the other crew said it, but Love went from like +3000 to +500 to win the Heisman today. If all stays the course he's at least getting an invite.

Espn is starting to give him credit as well. Desmond during GameDay stated he should be the favorite, and then Galloway during college football final stated it as well. If he has another great game vs Stanford I think it might actually happen.

I just listened to his post-game press conference interview. He is impressive. Says the right things without sounding like he has been prepped by some PR team.

People keep comparing him to Henry as to why he shouldn’t win it. Let’s look at the stats.

Henry through 11 games:
249 carries 1524 yards 6.1 YPC 21 TDs, 91 receiving yards, 0 TDs. Total Yards: 1615 yards, Total Touchdowns: 21 TDs.
Love through 11 games:
185 carris 1306 yards 7.1 YPC 17 touchdowns, 274 receiving yards, 3 touchdowns. Total yards: 1580, Total Touchdowns 20.

Near identical final stats despite having significantly less volume than Henry
