I think Love has a shot to win a lot of the first place votes from actual heisman winners. It’s everyone else with a vote that will screw him over.

MF and Denbrock need to ensure that Love gets to pad his stats the next 2 games I love the way Price runs in short yardage...but getting Love some extra goal line work (and extra TD opportunities) helps ensure that Love gets an invite. This NEEDS to happen!

I think Mendoza will win it unless he has a bad clunker the last two weeks. I want Love to win it, but I'm realistic. Love should and absolutely deserves a trip to NYC as a finalist, but I'm a little skeptical about a non-QB winning it. If there is even a semi-plausible QB they will give it to him. Last year there really wasn't. And Jeanty should have won it last year too, since I'm grinding my axe against the whole process. What Jeanty did was extremely special and he basically willed Boise to the playoffs. It was a 2012 Adrian Peterson type season. They gave the award to Hunter based on a made up statistic of "snap count." Total bullshit.

I agree about Jeanty, but what Hunter did just does not happen anymore. You and I have seen what Jeanty did before, I have never seen what Hunter did before.

It was the most amazing season I have seen to date. Playing almost every play on both sides, at an all american level... yeah, snap count matters when it's evidence you don't step off the field.

Heisman used to be a good award that understood the moment and even the last two were pretty good awards. But Mendoza versus Sayin for the Heisman is some NFL MVP bullshit award. Love and Jeremiah Smith should be the two favorites and Love should win it.
ESPN is obviously pushing “anyone other than Love” for the Heisman.

Still no mention with Love's name tied to the Heisman, time to put his name in the conversation.

Not to give any other love to the playmakers we have on offense, but this offense run's through Love.

He has had 2 great back-back seasons and this season's not over yet.

He's all but statistically matched his 2024 season stats (16 games) through just 10 games this season.

He could break Vegas Ferguson's single season rushing record (1,437) by season's end.

i've said it multiple times elsewhere but he is this year's Doak Walker award winer unless the people voting on it choose to vote on who has the most yds instead of who is most dynamic

He needs right around 300 yards. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get it in the regular season, but even with only one playoff game he’ll almost certainly get there.

If Sayin puts up good numbers against Michigan he wins. If he puts up mid or bad numbers + Love goes off last two weeks = Love wins. Mendoza only wins if Sayin and Love have mid/bad numbers to close.

I just don’t see voters from the south voting for an Indiana QB. Deserved or not, nobody down here respects Indiana at all.

If Sayin/Mendoza win it this year, I have a feeling CJ will win it next year. All three schedules (Saying/Mendoza this year and CJ next) are dog shit. And the committee has shown to reward QBs throwing for a ton of yards against bad competition Caleb Williams '22.

Which makes what Daniels did in '23 and Young did in '21 all the more impressive.

Marcel Reed is way more deserving than Sayin.
I agree, he definitely played better competition. But I feel all the top QB's in the Heisman talk are beating up on scrubs this year. If Love goes off these next two weeks....granted against scrubs so I see the irony....I could see him stealing the Heisman this year.
