Any other RB?

To me, a household name is someone that even a goat herder in Chad has heard of. NFL RB aren't what they once were. Those two guys are the exceptions.

Again, tall order.
McCaffrey. Imo goat herders in Chad don’t know Bill Belichick. But even a casual fan knows Saquon/Henry/CMC

It's still going to be difficult at this position to be a household name. I hope he does it, but in order to do so he'd have to land in an offense that would allow it to be so.

Consider what being an NFL RB looks like now:

- Higher chance of injury
- More hits taken on game day
- Less pay
- Lower draft value
- Likelier to be replaced with a low-round pick
- Fewer touches in a passing league

What's it look like in 5-10 years when Love is in peak prime athletic age?

Let's put it another way, the NFL Franchise Tag for the running back position last year was only 2 million more than it was back in 2011. The 2024 tag was effectively the same amount as 2016. The NFL is pretty clear on how they value running backs

Exactly.

Love tore up Purdue, Navy, UVA and Army. He had a rough go against UL and GT.

Don't discount the blowouts and the OL injuries, but let's see more.

Being an NFL RB isn't what it used to be. Derrick Henry is on the record saying he doesn't want his son to play running back. You might be better off being a tight end at this point.

Love being a household name in the NFL seems like a tall order. I wish that for him, but I'm not betting on it.
It isn't as much these days due to the finesse and importance of the passing game (much like the lost art of the midrange in Basketball as every kid wants to shoot the 3). Most teams employ a RB by committee system so the days of the solo act/bell cow back are few and far in between.

Saquon and Derrick Henry are the two best RBs in the League. I don't know that they're household names.
You certainly have to be an NFL fan to know Saquon. TBH, I had to look him up to know who he was.

Henry is definitely "famous", but he's had half again as many yards and more than double the TDs.
