Not gonna lie, our apparent willingness to get outbagged for a bunch of top recruits is increasingly frustrating.
I get being cautious and playing by the rules, and I actually think our long-game approach to NIL is the smarter play for most of these kids.
But at some point you have to get in the game, or you just wind up a loser.
We aren't playing by the rules if the so called bad guys get to keep playing by a supposedly different set of rules.

ISD still thinks that we lead comfortably based on fit and what he communicates to ND coaches/players, but with an indeterminate decision timeline and A&M "closing the gap" with their financial offer ND isn't out of the woods. They also expect him to visit ND soon.

Seems like what matters is how much stock you put in "momentum" because A&M has it.

My money is on him taking the money

Marshall game? The impromptu extra visit to A&M but then added visit to ND has shades of Christian Gray if that happens

I don't think you could have worded this any better.

It's a different landscape out there now. They seem to have the proper group of coaches in place for it and an Athletic Director who has navigated some pretty rough college football waters since he took the job.

Adapt or die.

As it should for him and every other recruit in his situation until Notre Dame proves that their current NIL philosophy works. Right now, the jury is still very much out, though the Dante Moore situation seems more foreboding than being the exception to the rule.

Shawn on the LL podcast today said he expects a commitment of Love to ND in the next two days
Hope he's right. He is pretty plugged in with the STL kids and has a relationship with Christian Gray.

You got a time stamp? Just wanna see it.
It starts around 17:45. FWIW, Shawn also said the following about M'Pemba: "They have a really, really, really, really, really, and I can add as many really's as I want to...Samuel M'Pemba, there's a really good shot of him coming because of the STL connection."

I am very curious of Keeley leaving could help. Word was M'Pemba wants to play DE. Now that Vyper job is open for this class.

I could be wrong, but I thought he wanted a shot at LB. UGA is recruiting him as a JACK LB, I believe.

And M'Pemba is the one of the few guys who could actually take the sting out of losing Keeley.
My heart skips a beat thinking about M'Pemba being in the class.

If it's a draft, I'm ready to pick, and both are still on the board. It's a toss up for me. I think M'Pemba might be the best player in the class and same goes for Keeley.

The class at current standing + Love is the best skill position (RB/WR/CB/S) class on paper in a long long time. Not a single class in the BK era is better.

2013 for reference since it’s the only class needing to know in a comparison:

Five Star #29 Overall - S Max Redfield
Four Star #45 Overall - RB Greg Bryant
Four Star #106 Overall - RB Tarean Folston
Four Star #154 Overall - CB Cole Luke
Four Star #208 Overall - WR Torii Hunter
Four Star #280 Overall - WR Will Fuller
Three Star #363 Overall - ATH Rashad Kinlaw
Three Star #367 Overall - WR Corey Robinson

Five Star #36 Overall - S Peyton Bowen
Four Star #66 Overall - ATH Jeremiyah Love
Four Star #84 Overall - CB Christian Gray
Four Star #107 Overall - WR Braylon James
Four Star #111 Overall - WR Jaden Greathouse
Four Star #116 Overall - WR Micah Bell
Four Star #203 Overall - WR Rico Flores
Four Star #235 Overall - RB Dylan Edwards
Four Star #245 Overall - S Adon Shuler
Four Star #314 Overall - RB Jayden Limar
Three Star #452 Overall - S Ben Minich

Could still add Lyons even. Bowen obviously the key there offsetting Redfield, even though we know how that turned out. Love is a huge differentiator how we will end up viewing this class.

What a turd.

Jfc. Sometimes I really loathe coming to this site. If some of you reacted. In rl. Like you post on potential bad news in recruiting. You'd have a stroke. Things come up. Things change. You take it in stride and see if you can make it work in your favor. Some seem to think. Well. It's not going the way I want/planned. Imma parachute out. Huh?
