I’ve never been accused of having class or knowing what’s actually good…but there’s just something about a Whopper w/ cheese that still does it for me.
I’m a Whopper fan too. 5 Guys makes a decent burger. I will say the Arby’s wagyu burger is absolutely delicious

Look, BK and McDs are trash,… but they both have certain charms,… and yeah the charbroil flavor of Bk is among that imo. I like a bk burger every now and then too

started using Hello Fresh due to my schedule. Gotta, say I have been very happy with it. Anyone else use this or any other service?

It gets real old real fast. Stay away from the potato wedges burn out on those the soonest. Amazing how many different dishes and proteins quickly all taste the same.

Blue apron here and they started off ok. Good recipes. Good food quality. Last four deliveries have been poor food quality with missing ingredients. For example they sent a carbonara recipe that uses Priscuitto and didn’t send the prosciutto.

Is A&W popular in the States?

Out of all the main fast food burger chains, nothing beats a Classic Teen Burger with Onion Rings, and their signature Root Beer served in a chilled mug.

You see them in Michigan usually at gas stations

They tend to be seasonal places here. There was a year round one combined with a Long John Silver in Muncie. Also muncie maybe worst decent size city in Indiana.

I thought Carl Jr was better than In and Out.
It's called Hardees around here and there's not very many of them.
I had Whattaburger many times when I lived in DFW. It was ok.

I'd probably eat Hardees/Carl Jr all the time if there was one close enough to me. We usually get Culver's when it time for fast food burgers (although they're pretty slow like Whattaburger).

Carls is good and has more options. If you take a basic burger from carls and a basic burger from InO there’s little comparison though. InO doesn’t have a bbq burger at all though and Carls’ bbq burger is really good for fast food

Get the double whopper w/ cheese.

P.S. Quick check on this, is Dante still committed to UCLA?

The onion ring cheddar and the mushroom Swiss are both ones I’m usually debating over. I’ll typically get both and skip the fries , lol!

Agreed. In-N-Out is right smack in the middle. When the establishment is run well, consistently decent burgers. Lazily run, the burgers are not so great.
I think that’s what I like most about InO,…… it’s amazingly consistent. I’ve never had a meal there that felt ‘lazy’… for just a decent, fresh made burger and fries from a drive thru nothing compares imo. However, it’s still too overhyped

Hardee's/Carl's is probably the best fast-food burgers I've had. Five Guys is better but it's not really fast food. Whoppers are perfectly solid and better than Quarter Pounders. In-and-Out isn't worth the wait (when I lived in California it always seemed like a stupid long line at the drive-thru). Mr. Beast Burger looks like an internet company disguised as hamburgers you order from DoorDash.

Is Mr Beast burger any good?

I’ve not had it, but it would seem like a scam to label “Mr. Beast Burger” as being a good burger “place” like the rest in the convo. It’s not really a restaurant, just a uniquely branded recipe created by an established restaurant’s kitchen.

If I ordered a Mr. Beast Burger from one of the hipster places in Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine area, and then enjoyed it, I’d credit the restaurant, not Mr. Beast.

Barstool Sports does the same thing with “Pardon My Steak.” They are basically subletting recipes to places, and then taking the credit lol.

I don’t understand people saying McDonald’s is better than In-N-Out, but again, establishment matters. Some of these fast food operations are horribly managed and it impacts the food.
It’s a sign some wear that clearly state they aren’t to be taken serious in any conversation

Yep. Mr. Beast Burger is not so much a restaurant as an internet brand with a hamburger recipe that a restaurant can offer under franchise to get another hit on the delivery apps. If you want to get a hamburger from an Indian restaurant or a pizza place, knock yourself out.

Yeah is that like those Cheeto wings you can order online but are actually prepped at an Applebees?

My favorite “Door Dash/GrubHub” story is that during COVID, a place popped up on there called Pasquale’s Pizza and Wings. People were ordering from this seemingly legit place, but they’d get their food and there would be something oddly familiar about it…

…because Pasquale’s was a shadow company owned by Chuck E Cheese since they couldn’t open their businesses due to COVID restrictions. Gotta respect the hustle, but it’s hilarious that they created a new business name since nobody would just go ahead and order dinner from Chuck E Cheese.

Bonus: I just checked and you can actually still order food from Pasquale’s today. I might try it sometime just to see…

Also, Famous Dave’s BBQ was running a ghost/virtual kitchen out of Granite City Grill here in Fort Wayne for a while. I did order from there. Was pretty good.

The whole ghost kitchen concept sort of scrambles my brain a little bit.

My hot take is that the Chuck E. Cheese pizza and salad bar is legitimately good… as long as it hasn’t changed too much in the past ~7 years

As a former Chuck, I can attest that their pizza low key slaps. Or at least it last did in 2007.

I haven’t been there since 2003, but Chuck E. Cheese was hands down the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. It was worse than any frozen pizza or gas station pizza. I couldn’t even get my toddler to take a second bite.
