If this is true then it has to be assumed that our NIL is as good as the competition.
It’s not all or even primarily NIL for many kids still. If this is true then it has to be assumed that our NIL is as good as the competition.
this is primarily what's going on, in my assessment.
Agreed. If they conceivably finish with a Top 1-3 class, sign the best DL, LB, S, CB, and OL classes in the country, but don't sign a great QB and at least 3 Top 20ish WR's (with 2 of them being Top 15ish), I would still consider the class a bit of a disappointment. And I don't think we'd be alone in our thinking.I tend to agree.
Ultimately, I have no doubt this class is going to be very good, but it boils down to QB and WR for me this year. They need to have major success there and it starts with somehow figuring out a way to land Moore and Tate. I think Stuckey will pull a few surprises between now and December.
I would "bet the under" on that assumption. If this is true then it has to be assumed that our NIL is as good as the competition.
Don’t think he actually made it to Michigan this weekend FWIW. Singer didn’t think so either based of talking to him a few days ago.
Interesting nugget was hearing Prister and O’Malley basically saying ND is crazy if they take one and not let the other in. O’Malley was saying that was a flaw of BK in the past is he turned down a bunch of really good players in his days here and Freeman should realize that he’s never gonna reach the scholarship limit. Like it won’t happen. Personally I’d shoot for Moore, Traore and a NT (Houstan) because even with those guys you’d be at 5 and you may lose Keeley because he’s not a guarantee and you don’t wanna end up with a situation where you lose Keeley and maybe someone else gets in trouble, surprisingly decommits and you end up with 2-3 dudes on DLine. With 5 commits you’d end up with 20 DLine scholarships projected for 2023 but 6 of those dudes would be 5th or 6th years and there’s no guarantee those dudes come back or even any of them come back for those extra years. So I think 5 guys is fine if it’s Keeley, Moore, Vernon, Traore, and Houstan. That would be an ELITE class.Of note here, I can’t remember if it was at II or ISD where I read this, but Traore might not visit until his OV in June. Does that mean he won’t commit until he visits? If so, does that open the door for Moore to get to campus and decide?
Singer has stated this a few times, both articles and the board questions, that he feels ND would take Traoure, Moore and Houstan if they all wanted inInteresting nugget was hearing Prister and O’Malley basically saying ND is crazy if they take one and not let the other in. I didn’t know this. I thought Traore was supposed to visit this weekend.Of note here, I can’t remember if it was at II or ISD where I read this, but Traore might not visit until his OV in June. Agreed. Anyone know what ISD is saying?Someone has to be wrong.
247 saying ND won’t take all three.
On3 saying ND will take all three.
Take them all. You can never have too many defensive linemen. And there are always scholarships available.
Seriously it would be amazing. We may have some upperclassmen graduate early and transfer! I'm kind of serious and kind of jokingExpected for the June 10th week, but not 100% just yet. Our defensive line recruiting is potentially putting TAMU to shame.
That would be a smart move.Singer has stated this a few times, both articles and the board questions, that he feels ND would take Traoure, Moore and Houstan if they all wanted in
