If a 5th year BS is the best receiver on the team, then I agree. But a 6' 3", 215lbish guy who is good enough to play for one of the best offensive coaches in the NFL is definitely worth having on the roster. If he's paired with a great receiver, and other comparable receivers, then I think ND would be fine. The '19 lsu WR corps, the '19/'20 alabama WR corps, and '21 osu WR corps aren't the norm, they are the exception. All those teams also had outstanding QB play.

I probably still run a faster 40 than Ben Skowronek and I'm 44 this year (also my 40 time from college, CB). Hanafin runs something similar and that's big difference. He's gotta be a take.

The Skowronek hate in this thread is baffling. He plays a decent amount for the Rams and has been a standout on punt coverage for them. If every ND receiver had a similar trajectory, we’d be thrilled.

Loved Skowronek at ND, very good WR. Different athletic profile from Hanafin who can also think about playing D in college although we want him at WR, and rightly so. Fast kid.
