Is this slow mesh thing what we saw a few time from Stanford. The RB literally stood and waits?

Not a fan of the slow mesh. It’s great for bad talent but it’s not the best when talent is high. You turn up the pressure on it, and it can very easily break.

Anyone else see the Steve Slaton comparison to edwards?

"Call plays that work."

Also: "These plays that work that other people run...I don't like them and don't think they'll work."

The thing is, even with Freeman being a better recruiter, we still likely won't be a talent match for Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. A system designed to beat a talent gap is basically exactly what we need to do to rely on something other than luck to beat them.

I am still trying to figure out what he meant by not the best when "talent is high".

It limits the players ability to make plays because every action has to fit the scheme for it work well. It tends to slow everything down limiting explosive quick plays

Rumbling, heresy, rumors, bunch of words to say little etc if you’re into that sort of thing from the KSU site

I'm sure neg recruiting at the optimal level will be done until signing day

Gotta keep this kid. ND hasn't had a weapon with game speed like him in a looong time.

Not worried about Kansas State they most likely go 1-2 or 0-3 in their next 3 games

Yeah getting a QB for '23 is a long shot, but it would really do a lot to buffer the negative recruiting right now. It is way too easy for a school to be like, "have you watched them play? They literally don't have a quarterback that can get you the ball." It's not even really negative recruiting, it's an objective statement.

They can just neg recruit right back. We had one off year, but look at the larger picture; KSU been irrelevant for a decade since their run in 2012 (thanks for nothing, purple jerks).

Knew it was doomed once he got the ND chain.

In all seriousness, I remember KSU's beat having sour grapes when he got offered and decommitted. There is way too much opinion and not enough actual sources in that update to scare me yet.
