That's a fair retort for any school other than aTm. They're straight up buying players and not even trying to hide it now. The Aggies don't deserve the benefit of the doubt you're proposing.

Probably could add Jackson State to that list.

The more TAM does it, the more Alabama will do it, the more Ohio State will do it and hopefully the more ND will do it.

But if you want it to stop, if you want the big swingin dicks to put their foot down and say no mas, you should hope more Jackson States and other HBCUs are able to capitalize. When teams with stadiums without luxury suites start having fun, the powers that be will find a way to make it stop.

But ND won't do it. At least not the way A&M is doing it. I suspect ND will offer up examples of players parlaying their ND status into successful NIL campaigns more so than throwing promises of money at high school kids. Just my opinion though.

A&M: Come here and we'll pay you $xxx

ND: See what Kyle Hamilton did here? You could do the same.

I have seen enough recruiting battles to know he is not coming to ND. Yes freeman is a better recruiter and we don’t know how good this new WR coach will be at recruiting and coaching on the field will be.

Shot at and a hint...

If Styles improves and depending on the QB situation, he'll be Irish. He's not coming to ND to block...

These are two huge reasons C. J. signed with usc... and BK is a huge #3

Took a scan through the 247 '23 WR Rankings and Tate is the only WR recruit in the top 250 "from" the Midwest. Malik Elzy (who I personally think is more of a high 3 star type guy) is the #2 WR in the entire Midwest at #260 overall.

WR recruiting for this cycle is going to be an uphill battle as usual.

Well given how the last few cycles with WRs from the Midwest have gone......maybe it's a good thing.

Just read on one of the 'sites that OSU isn't as confident as they once were. Both ND and OSU thought he'd be to committed to their own schools by now.

Relationship is still the same with ND as before, Rees is his main recruiter. They talk daily. Tate hopes to have his officials set by the end of next month and will take them in the spring. He also says going on visits with Dante Moore is something he's interested in.

He's wide open and taking visits to southern schools.

I'm not making a value judgment on this kid or saying the sky is falling, but I'm probably going to stop following this one. I hope I'm wrong and he's just having a good time, but his process has every indication of "not a fit." He's talking about wanting to see what plans each school has for him to go 3 and out.

Respectfully disagree. ND writers say ND likes its chances, still work to do. But I agree that he's not worth following until we get Moore.

Don't know. It's Loy.

"Just read on one of the 'sites that OSU isn't as confident as they once were. Both ND and OSU thought he'd be to committed to their own schools by now." Thinks it's still OSU or ND, likes ND.

I’m not going to get too invested in this recruitment until he’s taken his visits.

Recruit him relentlessly and until the end but make plenty of other plans at WR. And that should be the plan at all position groups.

he’s probably going wherever Dante Moore goes.
I hope so, with a caveat.
Sources in the Gug are pessimistic about him, but I don't think that has anything to do with Moore's recruitment

I don't think I'll update this thread until something changes dramatically
