Maybe he loved Del.

Somewhat joking of course but we did lose 2/3 parts of Tate’s recruitment. As posted in Moore’s thread, some recruits do like BK quite a bit when he tries. Recruits all like Del from a “yeah he’s chill” perspective. Rees is the lead but no doubt MF and ____ need to catch up when the dust settles

It would definitely suck to lose out on Tate and Moore due to coaching turnover. They are probably NDs 2 highest end offensive recruits. It begs the question; why couldn’t BK get 5 star QBs to fall in love with him for the 11 years before this?

How often does a 5-star guy who loves recruiting as much as Tate work out for us? Even Jordan Johnson and Kevin Austin were quiet.

OSU all the way.

To paraphrase the legendary Ronald Spiers from Easy Complany, 506th, “the problem with most of you is you are still holding out hope…”
As far as Tate’s recruitment is concerned, we all “need to realize it’s already dead…it makes us all be able to function…”
So I’m already moved on and not upset one bit about Tate. If he ends up at ND, then cool.

You guys are literally bitching about nothing. The kid isn't doing anything different than most recruits. You're just so afraid of the heartbreak of watching a kid possibly go to OSU you're acting like assholes.

Agreed. I have no idea why people are upset with him. He’s visited both ND and OSU a bunch of times. Now he may have the thought to check out other schools out there. Nothing wrong with that. He needs to gather as much information as possible to make the best decision. If you’re reaction to Tate is one of negativity, you might need to take a step back from following recruiting. There’s no reason for it. It’s not your life, it’s the recruits.

Many here don’t like or lack optimism for Tate purely out of a predisposition against using social media IMO

I think the reaction to the alleged overreaction is more of an overreaction than the reaction.

This board has become a bunch of stay poff my lawn guys:

I'm really confused by this reaction. He wasn't committed to ND, or OSU for that matter. His tweet literally stated the obvious. Why are we mad?

Because he loves the recruiting process...

As we sit here. On an internet message board. Tracking the recruiting process. Of 100+ high school kids. Every year. Because we love the recruiting process.

He needs to handle the process how we want him to handle the process, because we are obviously the experts here.

So you think it’s normal behavior for adults to attack a 17 year old who they have no personal connection with on where he plus college football?

Where exactly are the attacks? I saw someone say they were over hIm and another person say he loves recruitment. I have seen way worse ish spoken about recruits on this board over the years.

Haha. Didn't the recruit use to write "blessed to receive a scholarship offer"? Now its just "blessed to receive an offer"

Lol Can’t tell me him tweeting “My recruitment is 100% open” just a day or 2 before Texas A&M offers is a coincidence. Might as well have tweeted “The auction is open”.

And what if he picks Notre Dame? Does that mean that he suddenly changed his mind and didn’t need to get paid because here we do it so pure and by the book? Or does it mean he got paid by ND?

Like, what are the chances that ND is able to sign 100 players in the next 4 years because they were able to find the right 100 that didn’t need to get paid?

All of these schools recruiting the best HS players have beautiful facilities, good looking co-eds, education and the chance to train for the NFL. Just because a player chooses to go elsewhere doesn’t automatically mean he’s taking money.

That's a fair retort for any school other than aTm. They're straight up buying players and not even trying to hide it now. The Aggies don't deserve the benefit of the doubt you're proposing.
