predicted to land at UGA. This is the real downside to Saban leaving IMO. It's just taking a rival away from Georgia and making them even more powerful right now

Yeah, I posted it earlier in the Saban thread, but Ol' Nick leaving all but guarantees that any Top 100 defensive player from the South is going to UGA. Rough.

He might already be the best player in the country.

He was the best player playing in the Rose Bowl

Man... imagine if we could land him... that addition would be worth a win or two in the playoff. Would be the best defense since?

It's easy to say we should go all in but we should go all in. I'd rather take my lumps with Baker at RT and have the two best safeties in the country, along with elite Corners and a solid front 7.

We are not winning the portal across the nation even though it feels like we may be. But we've gone really far and IMO if you're going to go this far, might as well go all the way.

Worst investment in the world is one that spends 75% to only get 75% of the way in a sport that has only a 1% winner.

It's probably too late to get a quality OT, anyway. When DeBoer left, ND should've reached out to Roger Rosengarten before he declared for the draft.

Downs aside, its interesting the FUND is doing well without soliciting funds from the everyday fan.

Alot of other schools have taken to crowdfunding to raise NIL. It makes you think that once ND gets comfortable with the legalities involved in openly soliciting funds, FUND could conceivably take NIL to an even higher level.

I wish they would. I think they could get another $5 Million per year, at minimum, if they did.

I was thinking the same... Like Ward changing his mind, although a bit different. But yes, many say he could benefit from another year of play before going to NFL. Maybe Freeman and Randolph get him to change his mind. We can only hope.

What does the stadium hold? 75,000? 50,000 people giving $100 puts you at $5 Million. People spend more doling out for one ND game. If they care enough to go to a game, what is an extra $100 contributed towards success? Sometimes people just want to be a part of something.

We do NIL apparently, but not for the best players? What is the point unless we are using it to get the difference makers who can help win a championship? The administration needs to understand that success isn't making the playoff, it's winning the national championship.

You think the ND fan base would pitch in 5 mil a year? We can't even get the fans to stand on 3rd and 4th down

I posted this after attending the game in Louisville........They ran a campaign on the video boards during the game. Displayed a QR code and gave a link. The closer they got to the end of the game they amped up the sales pitch with, "There's only a few minutes left to donate" and "we're near our goal". Then an announcement how everyone helped the Cards make their goal. It's was well done IMO.

Notre Dame's NIL is more than acceptable for transfer players with proven production.
