Florida pumps out a metric fuck ton of talent. It has large population centers that are easily accessible to go visit said talent. ND should be visiting.
Blow out that last little flicker. It's not happening. How much of a long shot is Keeley going Irish on signing day vs when Manti did?
Oh I'm under no allusions. Just curious for those that followed recruiting back then how much of a long shot Te'o was in comparison.Blow out that last little flicker. It's not happening.
The Te'o commitment was the single best recruiting moment I've seen. About the only time we beat Carroll in anything during those years. Still don't think Weis gets enough credit for landing him. Very unlikely Kelly goes 12-0 without him on the roster. That being said, I think Keeley would be a longer shot as I think the chance is 0%Oh I'm under no allusions. The uncle in the sky.Per Manti, God was the lead recruiter in his decision, not an uncle.
A bunch of top GA schools are not good academically either, we just never happen land any of those guys. The big difference IMO is CA and GA are states where the top programs are also top schools. Cooper Flanagan is not only playing at an elite high school football program but he will walk on campus with the tools to succeed at Notre Dame.
Even FL players that succeeded at Notre Dame (Dexter Williams, Kevin Austen, Louis Nix) struggled to adapt on campus.
They should be focusing on the Catholic powerhouses in Aquinas, Columbus and Tampa Jesuit. Not because they’re Catholic, but you know those kids will meet the grade requirements and play great competition.Florida pumps out a metric fuck ton of talent. ND does well with the Private schools in ATL. Also, Buford is the top team in the state and have one of the highest rated schools in the state. Like Florida, the issue lies in the inner city & rural public schools. Middle class & affluent public schools shouldn’t be an issue.A bunch of top GA schools are not good academically either, we just never happen land any of those guys.
Can he ask god for a QB?Per Manti, God was the lead recruiter in his decision, not an uncle.
They still are though. Who was the last public school guy from GA we landed? Cane Berrong from a rural school. The only Atlanta suburban public school guys we landed under BK are:ND does well with the Private schools in ATL. ND has a lot going against them, especially if they are not willing to play the NIL game like the big boys. As American children get dumber and dumber and even less religious what does ND have to offer? America itself is evolving into something ND is not, a dumb sacrilegious country. Playing on NBC is a big shoulder shrug, especially with the boring ass talent they bring in to call the games. The one thing trending in college sports is money which ND has a lot of, but ND has morals and values.... something America is trending away from as well, sadly. They still are though. Who was the last public school guy from GA we landed? Cane Berrong from a rural school. The only Atlanta suburban public school guys we landed under BK are:
2010: TJ Jones (ND Legacy) from Gainesville (pretty far from Atlanta)
2018: Derek Allen from Lassiter
That’s it. In that time we’ve landed more rural school kids (Tuitt, Newsom, Flemister, Berrong) and private school kids (Rochell, Tremble, Hamilton, Bertrand, KJ Wallace, Khari Gee, Thomas, Colzie, and Staes). None of those schools are very big powerhouses in GA, with the exception of Blessed Trinity and ELCA for Bertrand and Rochell. We have not recruited the powerhouse schools in GA very well, regardless of affluence.
Don’t get your hopes up.Still uncommitted...get him Freeman.
He's just waiting for the Bama check to clear.Still uncommitted...get him Freeman.
What's taking so long...I mean this is Bama. He's just waiting for the Bama check to clear.

He’ll probably take it to signing day and get the biggest bidder to ante up.

When that’s driving the recruitment, it’d be crazy not to wait until the most desperate team backs up the truck. He’ll probably take it to signing day and get the biggest bidder to ante up.
Sure but he's not actually going full NIL. He has gone and visited Bama and Ohio State. No Oregon, no Miami, no A&M or Tennessee. Elite programs, that will also pay. Not the desperate. When that’s driving the recruitment, it’d be crazy not to wait until the most desperate team backs up the truck.
Not only that but I’m sure waiting can be lucrative with programs willing to pay just to visit. Then the highest bidder scenario comes in.He’ll probably take it to signing day and get the biggest bidder to ante up.
It will for sure play out that in this current NIL era. Why commit early? Securing a spot or play the supply and demand game and the desperation game and wait them out to get a heavier bag.I have a theory that if you’re a 5 star guy you want to be the last one standing….
Ugh. my bad. Thanks for the correction. I’ll delete it so as to not cause a million more posts on a non-issue.It’s from April 23rd
