The thing with Alabama - like Ohio State and Georgia and Clemson - is they offer the whole package. You can play for titles, practice against the best, get great coaching. They don't always need to be the highest bidder with the biggest bag the way Tennessee or Miami or A&M do. They just need to be reasonably competitive in NIL and let everything else they offer carry the day.All these kids actively talking about flipping our top commits on twitter is a neat evolution of the recruiting game.
Funny thing is Bama is playing a losing game here. If they don't think A&M is going to swoop in and buy a good chunk of their kids at the last minute, they're in for a rough February. Alabama doesn't have the cash to play this game at that level long term.
In some ways we're in a similar position, at least for kids/families who can actually see the world beyond their recruitment. But we have to be able to compete on NIL too. Playing this game with one hand tied behind our back right now is a losing battle.
