Freeman from ISD is saying it's likely TCU.

Surprised by this. Didn't expect such a quick decision and I thought we were in better shape, but apparently distance was a huge factor weighing against us.

Such a bummer, because we could really use some good news. Especially bad if Walker decommits.

We need to get some recruiting dogs on the offensive staff.

TCU somehow landing Evans and Johnston in 2020 when both were Top 100 paying dividends. They featured them from Day 1 last year. Evans likely 1st/2nd RD pick next year.

Well, Tascosa is in the Panhandle, Amarillo by Morning. It is a public school.

Guys like Hamilton from Marist in Atlanta and Cam Hart from Good counsel, in Olney, near suburban Baltimore are different. .

Both of those guys fit in so effortlessly and comfortable, (see the Inside the Garage Podcasts) not merely because of who they are but because they
come from the big city.
come from a Catholic environment.

On the one hand, I would have like Everhart
On the other, I am not that sure, if I were his HS Guidance counselor, I wouldn't have recommended TCU over ND>

Very Texan, very cozy, very Forth Worth (in contradistinction to Austin) very Dan Jenkins, very Sammy Baugh.

Pretty easy to negatively recruit against ND for WR lately. Since Will Fuller left, ND has had some good to great WR but look how long it took them all to develop. Even presently, senior Kevin Austin can’t get off the jams at the LOS and struggles with drops every other game. Lenzy can’t stay healthy & can’t catch the ball consistently either. From the outside looking in, the WR development has not been impressive.

Easy to pile on on this site ATM. Strongly disagree. Chase Claypool was developed into a dominant receiver from one of the most raw prospects ever to come through here. A good portion of this fan base wanted him to play defense. Will Fuller wasn't that long ago.

AND Kevin Austin has played 5 games!!!

Did anybody think Boykin was an NFL starter when he arrived?

Honest question- is Boykin starting now? I don’t watch much NFL, but I’ll occasionally check the box score to see if he made an impact. The answer is no for the most part.

He's been on IR. Ravens fans are pretty disappointed in him IIRC. Looking like a case of combine fool's gold.

He had 7 touchdowns over his first 2 seasons as a late 3rd rd draft pick. They expecting Julio Jones? He's an adequate number 3 receiver

Who in their right mind would want to play for ND on the offensive side of the ball? Our oline sucks , the receivers are poorly coached and the oc is inexperienced (over his head coach).

Because they're not signing to play with this year's team.

Keep in mind, we're just a year removed from having an elite OL, one of the top units in the nation, and we've had some really good receivers come through, despite not landing top tier talent and having to overcome some less than stellar QB play.

Yeah I don’t understand the unleashing of negative stuff here lol. Major wanted to be close to him and TCU has landed decent skill players in recent years. Don’t see the negative ND WR stuff being impactful here

Claypool came back for a spring game I believe and was gushing about not knowing that there were so many routes until he got to the NFL. .

Del Alexander isn't very good. He can't coach routes, he guys drop the ball, it takes them three years to see the field and they can't bear jams.

This is false on its face. We currently have two guys seeing the field as true freshmen, last year our two leading receivers were great against the jam, and his "inability" to coach routes is only apparent with certain receivers. Everyone needs to relax a bit. People were calling for his head over recruiting, and now we have two of the top guys on our board committed. Based solely on the guys committed now in the 2022, who has a better receiver recruiting class than us? OSU, PSU, and....?

Anyone else notice it’s the same 4-5 people that go to EVERY thread and post the same negative shit? We get it, you hate ND. Try bringing some substance with facts rather than everyone sucks, can’t do their jobs , all need to be fired. Wish Wooly was still here.

I think it is everyone to a certain extent. Everyone has come in to kick Quinn while he is down.
There are just a few that think it isn't all on Quinn.
The Quinn bullying is a bit nasty in my opinion.

Yes. They seem to be insecure in their masculinity and project that onto ND as their favorite team, so whenever we don't live up to their standard of how ND should be dominating, they take it personally.

Get some testosterone shots, start lifting weights, buy your wife some lingerie... whatever. Just stop using IE as your personal support group.

Yet Austin has been at ND for four years so let’s not act like he was suspended from working out or practicing for those four years. Go back and read how much the media members were raving over him the past two years. He’s obviously talented but the kid struggles getting off jams at the LOS vs above average CBs and struggles w/ drops seemingly every other game thus far. It’s not like ND has faced Murderer’s Row. I mean who is the shutdown corner at FSU, Toledo, Purdue & Wiscy?!?!?!

Not sure. He had an awful game against Purdue.

You extrapolate the other 3 games out and he'd have a 950 yd 12 TD season. Is that how you get to 'shutdown'?

Extrapolate w/ opponents like FSU, Toledo & Wisky? So basically MAC teams or P5 teams w/ below .500. Hey, if you can guarantee that, I’m all in. IMO: VT, UNC, SC, GT, UVA & Stanford are better than those three tomato cans…not by much mind you but I predict we see most of those games come down to the 4th quarter.
