At the start of the season, I was one of those guys who though "maybe it doesn't fully click for Sneed and he goes somewhere else to get $" but the way he has played to end the season coupled with his increased snap counts, show how much the staff value him.

I think he's a "must keep" player for the staff. They've poured too many hours into his development to watch him go somewhere else and ball. The LB group was very good this year, they could be freaky next year with all of the athleticism and experience. I want to see a full year of a healthy, lightbulb-on Sneed.

How many snaps did Sneed play tonight? He's been playing his best football and he was basically a no show tonight.

I did not see him much at all. He is a liability as a tackler, perhaps they wanted to go with the most consistency. But, tacking was not great tonight anyway — mostly because OSU was good (and many on our D are still fairly young).

They went with Bowen and KVA bulk of game. Sneed played very little. Head scratcher

I had the ND radio broadcast going on espn and at one point mid 4th quarter they said Sneed was helped off the field after a play

Georgia and PSU were in 12 personnel a ton. Hence 3 LBs. OSU was not. The pash rush snaps that were there went to KVA

Starters should be very good, but Depth at LB isn’t great. Going to need some young guys to take major steps forward.

Transfering would make zero sense he probally doesn't have his degree yet and he has 2 years left to play. He could come back get his degree and be a 3rd-4th round draft pick maybe second round. He will probally be playing a ton at LB and lining up some at vyper too.

Does anyone know why he barely played against Ohio State? I feel like we could of used him in obvious blitzing and 3rd down plays.

Rumors he was set to transfer at end of season around mid-season, virtually didn't play in title game after tearing up the playoffs, DC is moving on, and his film will garner big offers? The recipe is there.

This isn't hard to fathom. Significant role players off a title contender make for stud starters at second tier U. Cryptic messages like that get the phone ringing and ND staff prioritizing your contract as retention is a top priority. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
