Per Singer, as of last night, he’s not made a decision or notified any staff of his decision.

He is definitely getting love from our other recruits. If ND lands Singleton, a RB duo of Singleton/Price will be Kelly's best.

Yep. Taylor/BK nailed this one on the visit. Sawchuk didn't even bother getting an edit done once ND called him and said there's no need coming. At least Hayden had time to get a video done after his OV to South Bend.

Nice having ND as the prime mover here, even if they were running second in the other two.

So you saying that with Singleton committing to ND (I hope) therefore Sawchuck and Hayden committed elsewhere?

Of course no one's told me this but Sawchuk was going to take the ND OV before Taylor gave him the news that the spots gone and he then announced on the quick. He was probably headed there anyways but the Singleton development (and the wave of commitments that haven't been announced yet) is knocking over dominos.

Hayden was going to OSU. He left ND and went to work on his commitment video to Columbus. Timing of his release is just coincidental.

I am floored. Would've lost a lot of money on this bet a month ago.

He left OSU this past weekend so I’d guess committed to them Sunday and the edit guy was done today. Must have taken yesterday to create all these guys Sunday’ commitment graphics and sent off a email this AM lol.

It doesn't sound like this is what happened. Per Singer, Singleton hadn't decided as of last night. And per the commitment writeup of Sawchuk he committed directly to the coaches last weekend. So I really doubt that ND cancelled Sawchuk's visit vs. the other way around. Sure hope someone's story is wrong and that actually is what happened though.

So Singer said there was some talk Singleton could pull the trigger by Friday BECAUSE Sawchuk was visiting ND. I’d say we may have lost a bit of time leverage, not that a kid should be committing solely because of a spot anyways.

I’d summarize as:

- Singleton has swung towards ND with no immediate decision planned but commitment is on the table.
- Hayden was always all OSU and visit this past weekend wrapped it up.
- Sawchuk OU got to pull the trigger on visit this past weekend and cancelled with ND.

It was mentioned previously that he was going to take other visits and was encouraged to. Any ideas on where and when these visits are supposed to take place?

He’s at A&M now and supposed to be at Bama this weekend. Idk since it’s Tuesday I assume returning home and then flying back down to Alabama not one straight to the other. I guess could be driving to Alabama from College Station could match up the timeline

Hopefully the bag man is on vacation at both of those places

Bama already has two top 5 rb's committed (including the #1 overall by composite). They certainly could push the #5 rated RB out the door for Singleton but I would think they are happy with where they stand currently.

Singer brought up a valid spin, without the A&M and Bama visits, Penn State could have had a chance at getting Singleton back to campus possibly

I want to believe this, I really do. I am still jaded by Will Shipley.

To be fair, unless another pandemic gets in the way, I can't see this being another Shipley situation.

The key difference is that unlike Shipley, Singleton was able to make his official visit. Made a massive difference.

Also Penn State is not Clemson.

Interesting point. You have to wonder how hard Saban will put on the sell given what he has committed?

This is an interesting question. If the shoe was on Kelly's foot and he was happy with who he has my gut tells me he'd tell the kid and he wouldn't have him visit.

However the way Saban operates with the SEC not giving two shits about scholly numbers I can see him bringing him in and selling him and bringing them all in and let the best man win and the rest can leave if they ain't good enough

I think they are going to move one of those two too another position.

I really, really hope this happens. Landing guys like Singleton, Williams, and Merriweather will get this team much closer to where they want to be.

Rees and Taylor, get it done..

COVID has nothing to do with Shipley not coming here. He was never coming here.

Uh, yeah it did. Pretty much everyone at ISD was very high on Shipley being a part of the ND class going into his OV. Then COVID happened and the OV got cancelled and he ends up going to a school that is much closer and he could visit regularly. Mike and co. were confident in as much and were insanely frustrated when talking about it on PH soon after. Shipley was one of a few big names that ND was very much in good position to land prior to COVID cancelling visits.

COVID had A LOT to do with Shipley not coming here.

There were plenty of insiders who disagreed with ISD's optimism. Regardless, it was clear he was messing with ND at the end. Doesn't seem like something a kid who was serious about ND would do IMO...
