The Louisville kid seems more of a likelihood from a fit perspective. He had academy offers, a 3.6 GPA / 31 ACT as a HS JR and his brother went to West Point.

Bonus... he was a high level HS wrestler (for west Tennessee anyways) 247 said his record was 50-3 as a JR.

Dawson isn’t even listed on the DL rankings so maybe they are excluding him. Dawson probally starts next to Rubio, Hinish backing up Dawson but need a capable guy to backup Rubio especially because of Rubio injury history

I’m guessing Fields was 1-2 million, Smith a million, Pauling a million, I guess when we were told we would be getting multiple SEC starters yet we’ve landed one guy. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt but if we get Jared Dawson and some no name guy from a school I’ve never heard of it’s going to be pretty disappointing. We lose Mills, Cross and Onye isn’t coming back that’s 3 DT we need to replace. I haven’t seen anything from Mukam or Sevalinno to where they will have an impact next year so in reality you might need 3 DT’s.

You’re not at practice, so you don’t know how they look. Our society is too big on quick fixes and not developing our skills to their fullest. We have an offseason To get them boys ready. Let the process play out. Who knows Vernon may be the next guy in at DT. Maybe they like what we have at DT and didn’t think we had to be ultra aggressive in the portal as we initially thought.

It’s only disappointing because it’s the name. They could grab a guy we’ve never heard of who has great film and could meaningfully contribute to the defense.

Thank you. This was normal forever. What did Cross, Mills, Rubio, every recruit show before they played here? What did Xavier Watts show before 2023? I have faith in Mukam and Sevillano. I really find it hard to believe that we've recruited incredibly everywhere besides defensive tackle.

I'm sorry... but if we are paying $1m each for a Smith or Pauling type, our roster is about to be raided as fuck.
If those two are worth $1m, what's Love worth, $4M? What's Sneed, Young, Shuler, Bowen, KVA, Gray, Moore, etc worth?
We've been told multiple times that reported NIL figures are way off. I really hope so.
