Isn't that considered a blindside block in today's football?

On the field, Ziegler is a stud too.
People forget about him, but when he is fully back, he will be playing multiple positions on this D.
I could see a starting LB core of Sneed, Ziegler & KVA being elite.
With Burnham at DE. And I wish they would get Jr. back to his natural position.

Bowen might have something to say about that, or Ausberry too. Hard not to be excited about all the young talent this staff has identified and brought in.

Very happy for this young man though!

His true freshman year, when they had him at MLB, & had him doing one job, he was good.
Only remember him playing mlb some vs navy, I’m all for him going back to mlb because he can’t play de, I just think he’s too slow for mlb too. Way too slow

A lot of people had high expectations for Zeigler after his first year. I cannot recall is he known for being a fast LB. I'd like to see fast LB's. I could do with another Drue Tranquil.

If Watts comes back Safety, Corner and LB could be elite next year we need one of mills or cross or both to come back and some of the Young guys to start taking off and the DL could make the defense elite

Fwiw, Sampson said in his latest mailbag that Cross is almost certainly coming back and Mills is certainly considering it.

He is much more twitchy than our starting lbs… he also was the most hyped one before and during Clemson game

That’s smart by Cross. He is probably not going to have a particularly extended NFL career so make some money at ND.

I see a career similar to Sheldon Day.

5th round pick in ‘16. Was a starter for a short time, and has remained as a depth and practice squad guy. He’s currently in his eighth year.

Jr would need to drop some weight in order to moveback to lb and in general, imo (same with Botelho if he returns).

He should have been that cat quick, instinctive, run stuffing end this year for about 10 snaps. But i really haven't seen anything like that.

Maybe Reaper is on to something. Cut to 235 and see what he can do.

Imo, nd fills Bertrand's shoes with Ziegler and Bowen. Really like that combo of big, young, fast mlb's.

I have a hard time seeing anyone but Ausberry playing will, unless Kiser or Liufau return. Kid just finds the football by all reports. Kinda polar opposite of Sneed, unfortunately. Kva is the wildcard.
