Who's going to transfer when there's mandatory playing time if you have two legs? 95% of transfers are playing time related. We're far more likely to get transfers in at WR than out.

And take another WR, sure, but not a small guy who can't outrun anyone. Total BK move.

What is the downside from taking a fringe 4-star dude from a competitive conference/division in IN? Especially when we are in such a horrible position with WR depth?

For Indiana, maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a #2 at best at as senior there.

His film didn't wow me at first either, but I watched it again. IMO best Koon evaluation, I think he looks slower because he runs effortlessly. He has plenty of speed.

We have less than two months before NSD and a very small pool of talent after ESD to choose from and try and sure up our WR depth. I don't think anyone would argue we would rather have CJ Williams or Amorion Walker but that ship has sailed. Right now, we have 4 scholarship WRs that will be on the depth chart come 2023. We don't have time to pick and choose the guys who meet the Razor eye test or the Koon bod squad. Period.

There are hundreds of unsigned kids across the 50 states. No one, not even Marcus Freeman, is going to watch them all. I watched Omar and the Texas kid's film. If we have to take one, the Texas kid shows some speed. Omar does not have that or speed. Keep moving down the list until you find a fit and a kid that can play. Taking a kid just to put another jersey out there is silly, there are kids with upside unsigned and there's a long time until February - go find them. ND is super attractive right now.

This feels like the guy who got dumped so he goes out with the first girl who kisses her and says "well who else is there?". ND will be fine, they have a month and a half to evaluate a list of kids, they don't have to jump at the first one because some posters say something on his profile that said "Indiana".

You know this is how it works for every staff, right? They don't just offer first kid they look at because they don't know what #2, #3, etc., have to offer yet... They cross kids off quickly and keep searching.

I asked you this question earlier in the thread. Which film are you watching? Because I want to see if you and I are watching the same one. As others have mentioned he doesn’t look slow to me. And you mention small. What do you mean by small? Short. Skinny, stocky what?

Also as I mentioned previously Rivals has him as a 4 star, 5.9 rating and the #155 national recruit. Again there are some recruiting analyst who have more credibility than you really like this kid.

Did you think this kid doesn’t have elite offers because 1. He is from Indiana 2. Possibly he did not do the camp circuits 3. As Bobby mentioned he had an ACL injury 4. He committed to Indiana early in the process and elite schools could have passed over him because of that 5. Maybe he does have offers from elite school but he just didn’t disclose that information. For example Julian Love received an OSU offer but never disclosed that information till he was on campus at ND.

I'll let you judge his talents as you see fit, but the kid is playing some of the best competition in the nation. Indiana has good football.

dont get in his way beau. hes evaluated one receiver and knows he isnt a fit athletically but has no idea what else is available out there comparably. It's good stuff and entertaining me while i update budgets.

He handled Indiana corners to the tune of nearly 3000 yards over 3 years in an extremely competitive league. That's good anywhere. For reference CJ Williams had about 1000 yards less. Sure there is a gap in competition between the 2, but there aren't a lot of under recruited guys rolling around Mater Dei either.I actually think CJ and he are pretty solid comps in size, speed, and playing the ball in the air.

The MIC has been ranked as one of the best in the country. Not sure where it's ranked this year, but Center Grove who is in the MIC is ranked #8 nationally. Kid's been playing against good competition.

If the staff has offered or does offer, I think that answers any doubts anyone has.

I don’t think you’re trolling, nor is your opinion crazy. But right now I think if they run a 4.7 and can fog a mirror then ND probably needs to kick the tires on them. We have scholarship room to spare in that position group.
