Same here. 16 surgeries for me all together, from ankles to elbow & hips and shoulders were the worst by far. Oh, and I had all 5 lumbar discs fused as well. I would put that surgery 5th worst behind both hips the worst & most painful, followed closely with both shoulders. Lower back won the longest scar award though, hahaha!
Are you Evel Knievel?

Hahaha, no. I played on the varsity team at my small school for 6 seasons (7th grade thru 12th) as a running back and a linebacker. Got a scholarship to a DII school as a linebacker and played for 5 years (redshirted my 3rd year because of ACL reconstruction. Tore it in the 1st game of the season!) Now I am knocking on the door to 50 years old and kind or regretting my reckless abandon to make tackles and to gain an extra yard. My body didn’t hold up too well to all the collisions.

Curious if they do something with Ausberry over BYE to make him more of a full time nickle, giving more room for our actual nickles to play CB. Seems like a win win as Ausberry needs more snaps, he's playing so well.

Legitimately didn't even think this was allowed lol, impressive no matter how big or small the school. There's a LOT of growing that occurs between 7th grade and senior year, those were some big boys you were practicing with and playing against.

Sorry to hear about the years of pain. My grandma recent told me that at her and my Grandpa's 50th HS reunion, it was the football players who looked the most worn down. Brutal sport that we all love.

Hope you can find some effective and lasting treatment and relief in the years ahead.

No way. Once in a lifetime chance. He can do the NFL for another 10 years.
We'll see. He's had two significant injuries in less than a year.
But regardless no he's not coming back for the playoffs and he shouldn't.

With NiL, these guys shouldn’t be in a hurry to get out of school. The real world will be there in two years.
For a fifth-round pick (Howard Cross last year, for instance), yeah, agreed, especially if you're in a good college program and still have upside.
For a first-round pick there's so much money to be made in the NFL it's hard to say no.

Respectfully disagree.
Corner in the NFL is a young mans game, and the sooner he starts the age clock toward his second contract the better off he will be in the long run, and earn all the guaranteed money he can.

Not many 30+ year old corners in the league right now playing at a high level.

Agreed. Top 10-15 picks in the NFL Draft are looking at $15-$25M in guarantees over the course of their first contract. And the highest paid corner in the NFL makes $24M per year.

You don't jeopardize that for a $2-$3M NIL payday. The guy has nothing left to prove. He should sit out the remainder of the season and make the jump to the NFL.

Absolutely true. There's data coming out now that most corners don't retain high level play into their 30s once the explosiveness goes. Gone are the days of Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson making Pro Bowls and All-Pros in their mid-30s.

Unfortunately, between the hip and his already lack of elite measurables and the strong top-level prospects at the position, we could easily see Ben Mo slide to the back of the 1st or even into the 2nd. It's unfortunate but hey that's the NFL's game. The opposite will likely occur for Christian Grey and Leonard Moore when they hit the combine and draft in 2026 and 2027.

Yep, as a Vikings fan watching Stephen Gilmore be a shadow of his old self these past two weeks is a stark reminder that father time comes for even the best.

Especially with Benjamin's injury history, he should start his clock as soon as possible to making life changing money for him and his family.

+Morrison doesn't have the body type/physicality to extend his career at anywhere but pure corner.

Gilmore is 34 and made a pro bowl in 2021, it's remarkable he hasn't retired yet

Yep, Vikings were in a desperate spot after one of thier corners had an ACL injury in camp, and another was tragically killed in a car accident, and they gave him 7M+ guarnteed.

He has played fine for the most part, but obviously isn't even close to what he was even a few years ago like his 2021 pro bowl season.

Agreed. I’d be pleasantly surprised if he‘s still a first rounder.

NFL may have concerns over his injury history. He may come back to re-establish his draft stock. Not saying it will happen, but I could definitely see him come back next year.

If he does the unlikely and decides to come back, i don't think we need a nickel from the portal.

Does he or Gray play nickel? With Moore's length, he seems like the prototype boundary corner.

You make the three future nfl corners fit. It would seem to make the d a lot more flexible in passing off motions while still playing man.

This would be a big win in the off season if he takes the Quenton Nelson approach to come back for unfinished business, but I don't see it.
