Yeah over the last 10 years the second te is 95% blocking

He's not moving. He looked like he was in the 240's and he's "just" 6-5. Those 6-7 reports were just weird.

I'm not surprised by his play. I wasn't as adamant here as I was on 247 where I introduce that board to him but I think this guy is a YAC machine that's gonna hit big.

I think the rule of thumb is 3 months post surgery to get back to normal living, and for athletes to get back to working game form (If ever) it's at least 8 months to a year.

Dallin Holker: 767
Bowers: 714
Ja'Tavion Sanders: 682
Ben Sinnott: 686
Colston Loveland: 649

Evans came in at 26th with 422 yards, but of course that was 7 games and some change.
As far as being a YAC machine I didn't find those numbers yet, but there were only 4 P5 TEs that had better YPC and had more catches: Prieskorn from Ole Miss, Velling from Oregon State, Sanders from Texas, and Dabney from Baylor. Most of the others with better YPC did it on just a handful of catches, so easy to skew the numbers.

Anyone heard an updated timetable for Evans? He's not quite 6 months out from the injury. I heard him talking about the Blue Gold game and for a minute I was like "Wait, he's not ready to go, is he?" That would be crazy though, an athlete usually needs 8-12 months to come back from this.

Paraphrasing here but I think Prister mentioned on a recent podcast he expects him back for A&M. Then on the subsequent podcast, backtracked and said it's not his place to say when Evans will be ready but that he is progressing well. I took it as a positive update.

Evans stated he plans to be running and starting agility by summer workouts…. He’s far from a lock to be ready to play week 1 let alone be himself

Well, when he's healthy, he is definitely NFL material.
I can see them taking him somewhere in the draft, then if he stays healthy ---> money.
I understand not wanting to get low-pay injury.

He is a smart guy, a harder worker and a tough dude. Someone is getting a steal.

So impressive & fun to watch In 2023. Was an absolute weapon until his shredded his knee in the Pitt game. I recall it being reported that he’d be back in approx one year. Technically, that was correct b/c he never got close to looking like his 2023 form until late in the season despite being available for game one.

I will now temper my reaction to any reports on Bothello or Traore being “ahead of schedule” & hope to be pleasantly surprised.

in my estimation he looked like a solid 3ish round guy before the injury. If he tests fairly well a smart team will take him early on day 3.

The injury and loss of super coach Parker probably cost him some money. If he kept up like he did the 23 season you have to think he would have been one of the top TEs in the draft.

He's probably lost a bit of a step since the injury and would've needed another year to get back to form, but I think the drop off from Hartman to Riley from a passing perspective probably hurt him too. Next year probably would have raised his stock back up.

Evans should provide a solid intermediate option in the passing game at the next level. He’s not quite on the same level as some former ND TEs that went to the NFL, but he should be able to put together a decent NFL career.

A lot of the football sickos who are already deep into draft coverage are raving about Evans. Someone is getting a gem in the later rounds, I'm hoping he gets selected Day 2.
