Tough to gauge on Pitts. His QB play has been terrible. But he hasn't produced as much as people probably expected.

Bowers is more similar to Pitts than he is to a Gronk. But I wouldn't read much into that as Kelce is probably more similar to Pitts.

He had a 1,000 yard season as a rookie, than batted injuries last season. That being said, he hasn’t really found the answer as much as one would have hoped - only four touchdowns in two seasons.

Great post. Bowers is a great TE, but Mayer was better & the best in the country last season. The Raiders got a steal as I thought he would go 1st round.

Mayer definitely should've won the Mackey award last year.

Brock Bowers is an elite athlete. At least I get that impression of him when I watch him in games. Mayer is a very good athlete that is very smart in finding opportunities to get open.

He absolutely should have gone the first round. Teams bought into the narrative that downplayed his abilities. Raiders got a steal, and I expect given his extreme competitive nature he'll use the disrespect as a chip on his shoulder. I fully believe he'll outperform every TE drafted ahead of him, and as a complete TE will outperform Bowers in the NFL too given he's a superior blocker.

So great to see his success...he's a BIG kid in the grocery store (he lives down the street from my folks in North Oaks and a mile from me).
