I don't think he's been committed for months or anything like that.

I think this is a recruitment with all the signs pointing to UM but the UM insiders aren't projecting confidence so people want to will this into existence for ND.

Oh yeah, I agree with that--just not that he's trolling us.

BTW, I didn't see anyone else post anything about it but Christian at ISD has seemed to hear that ND does have some legitimate momentum here.

Whether that is enough to make this happen, we'll see, but if I had to guess, we haven't made any new offers yet so we must at least feel like we have some kind of shot.

No predictions being thrown around yet.

It's getting sell subscriptions time of year

I would typically agree. But let's be honest. Might be exciting having us potentially be in it for a high profile recruit headed into the early signing period.

Oh I don't disagree last few signing days have been blah. Which is great in reality. Some experiment is fun especially since we're in a win no loss situation. But the sites live this shit and will play "dumb" to make sure they get their clicks.

According to Karels of the SBT Edwards is announcing at 1:30 PM Weds. He (Karels) named Mich ND and Ga as finalists.
He did interview Spindler who said Edwards “doesn’t talk to recruits”

Just sounds odd to me.

I have no idea, but it just seems like we have zero momentum here. Hopefully I’m surprised

Spinler saying he does not speak to recruits is not a good sign. if he was moving away he would be likely to speak to the others he would be living with. This is over'ish.

Per Christian from ISD, we actually have a good bit of momentum going into this decision.

Whether that makes the difference in landing him is another story.

Tend to agree here. Dont see GA being the competition either.

Just cant imagine why anyone would want to go play at Mich now with the crapstorm that place is and has been for years now

I'll go with Georgia since we're hearing little for them. They have churned out some good RB's over the year and doesn't have to play much school down south.

Carter Karels has been saying for a while that he keeps things close to the vest. So I wouldn’t count this info as negative for ND. It’s like this across the board for all the schools and commits.

I’ll say Michigan

if they land McCarthy at QB, Edwards at RB and Worthy at WR then that's an impressive offensive haul considering their current plight. Their recruiting on D though is baaaad

Which would very much attest to inability to make good decisions.

How between Ok, ND and Mich (from pure football viewpoint) could you possibly choose Mich???

His HC and mentor has been recruiting him to SCUM from day 1

I know it's COVID times but when is the last time we had a major recruit from the Midwest commit without even visiting? I say Michigan.

How a WR would ever want to go there during the Harbaugh era is beyond me at this point. They have squandered any talent they have ever recruited at the wideout position. I mean, you're talking multiple guys with NFL pedigree not even getting considered for the draft.

They are pretty confident on the MGoBoard, saying 4 analysts are all agreeing he'll sign UM over UGA.

Some kids just don't want to leave home, even if it's a mere 3.5 hours away. I drive to SB several times a year (well, during normal times), it's a very easy drive.

If he does end up in AA, which I fully expect will be the case, chalk it up as a kid who was indecisive as hell and defaulted to his own backyard.

There's not been anything that says he was indecisive right? He just didn't talk to people. He could have known all along.

I think if Edwards had serious ND interest he would've visited on his own one of these recent weekends. I expect him to pick Michigan as the comfortable choice. If he was coming to ND, I expect we would've have had some good smoke by now and frankly we haven't had any at all for weeks. It would go down as the most shocking commit in years to get Edwards.
