The part I appreciate most about the IMG kids, is that they'll face top level talent every day and receive top level coaching.

That's how Hainsey has not just stuck at OT for ND but is now recognized as the best guy on the line.

Two years as IMG's starting LT will get you ALL the work you can ask for and prepare you for the college grind.

Hope he EEs. Given the 1st team starts (on IMG's premier squad, not their lower squad to boot) as a sophomore means he could probably be the type of guy to come in day 1 and start.

Started on IMG's 1st Team OL as a sophmore. This does not happen.

I don't know about how common it is but that tells me a great deal about how good he's likely to be. If just gains 10ish lbs per year, he'll be near 295 entering into college. Love adding the big nasties to our classes.

First of all, Soph's start at IMG sometimes. Evan Neal and EJ Ndoma-Ogar did. Good sign as both ended up AA's and went to Bama and OU.

Secondly, while he may have been the type of guy who could come in and play as a true frosh in the past, I believe those days are gone now. Too much corn fed, Balis built talent on the roster now.

IMG Strength and Conditioning is on par with most D1 programs. This kid will develop just fine. Very nice get.

No doubt.

When Balis was hired, he hired IMG's S&C Coach, David Ballou to be his asst at ND. After 1 year, he got the IU head S&C gig.

The head S&C coach at IMG now was asst S&C and K State and LSU before taking over for Ballou.

This pickup was an unexpected surprise. Kudos to Crus for being all over this one. Crippen and Skoronski seem to be sure fire guards. Outside of Zeke, we haven't gotten a lot of those lately. The staff sure loves the o-linemen with position flexibility.

How many IMG squads are there? Do they all have separate, varsity schedules?

They have two.

The football academy is comprised of two varsity football teams. The IMG Academy Blue squad takes on a national schedule against many of the nation’s most elite programs. The challenging schedule is designed to provide the highest level of competition, while also exposing the team to different styles of play. The Varsity White team, introduced in 2017, competes primarily in Florida against the state’s top Class 3A and 4A programs. Players on both teams will practice alongside one another throughout the year under the guidance of an experienced coaching staff with more than 40 combined years of college and professional experience.

The White team is basically all rich kids

The White team is basically all rich kids whose parents think their kid is going to be an AA in college, when it reality they are D3 level talent.

FIFY

Besides, you need a scout team to practice against.

I think Quinn likes it less than HH. HH gave you one shot at OT and then moved you inside. Quinn's going out hunting 6-7/6-8 OT's and interior guys who are just that. Zinter is the only swing guy they're in deep on right now and it could very well be Quinn has told him you are an OG only at ND (?)

Didn't see that coming...welcome Greg!! I like o-line recruitment. You very seldom see a "top Ten" list from them.

Now ranked a 4* in the 247 ratings, #233 overall

That's good for the #8 OG in the class. They have him ranked as a SDE (?)

Not sure how you can't put him at the top of the '21 class. His resume blows everyone's away. His film is on par with the best. Hell, #1 OG Damon Payne will play 3T or maybe SDE in college. Weird rankings.

It's because he's a super early ND commit. Those dudes aren't granted top-of-the-class rankings, or they don't hold their initial high rankings lol.

Look at Buchner... they had him as the #2 Pocket Passer even though he hadn't played... still hasn't played, but they drop him to #9 anyway???

Edit: The link in the tweet isn't working for me so I posted the link below. Pretty high praise for Greg from John Garcia Jr. at 247 and also sounds like his teammates agree. Quite the developing interior OL we got here.

The word commitment doesn’t work when you continue to take visits. This isn’t Syracuse or Northwestern, it’s Notre freaking Dame. Recruiting drama is frustrating. Why can’t everyone be like Jaylon Smith instead of Blake Barnett? I get that ND benefits sometimes and this is the world we live in, but don’t COMMIT if you aren’t COMMITTED!
