From what I remember, the coach bought him a cheeseburger either at the airport or bus terminal as a warm gesture as the kid was returning home due to a death in the family.

Yeah that was the story if I recall correctly. It wasn’t just a random invite or a recruiting trip.

Majerus was, by all accounts, a pretty good dude. Had to make sure that was punished.
