We seem to always get someone down the stretch that we didn't have on our radar until the stretch run.

It's laughable that Khari Gee has a three-star rating on 247. He is the real deal. Exceptional length, verified 4.5 speed, hits hard, versatile, impressive tackler in the open space.

I believe Gee could start for #NotreDame at safety in year one or year two. Put him next to Kyle Hamilton next year at SS from day 1 and let them figure it out together

I posted many years ago that ND needed to hit Hotlanta suburbs instead of the Warner Robins for the RKGs. Looks like that is happening more these days.

He's not Kyle Hamilton.
But damn if he's still not going to be great.

My favorite DB in the class, hands down

I've been a member of the Ryan Barnes fan club for awhile now but Khari is going to make me split my duties between the two.

Kham's Pops still lives in Atlanta I'm assuming, right?

Need this kid living at his home, molding him into his next son. Lol

Well, it's far from conclusive but when I look at the states of origin for NFL players circa 2017 vs. the states of origin for 2020 "blue chip" recruits as defined by Saturdays Down South, the states of Florida, Georgia, and Texas are all overrepresented in the blue chip prospect lists vs. the NFL population*.

Again, that's not definitive by any stretch of the imagination but now I'm curious to find an answer to this question.

*The opposite is true for California which, based on this very limited sample, turns out a higher proportion of NFL players than it does blue chip prospects.

I wasn't really talking about recruiting ratings with the NFL in mind. Strictly for Division I talent is what I am referring to.

The recruiting rankings via Rivals, Scout, etc. have been known to have the "fatigue" that Crusader mentions where they tend to underevaluate players from states like FL, GA, etc. and stop rating players with four stars when they probably deserve it.

This guy's offer list covers a breadth of programs east of the Mississippi River, plus I see Oregon and USC listed as well. Based on that along with his highlights I agree with Crusader that the premium recruiting sites left a star off for this guy because he's from GA.

Change his address to somewhere in the Rust Belt and there is a very good chance with that offer list and those highlights he's a four star player.
