Am I missing anyone? Starters of 3+ games in the last 20 years.

Evan Sharpley

I understand why you forgot to include him...

edit: looks like he may have only started 2 games, but played the majority of the snaps in others, so you are still correct.

Actually I forgot Pyne. Which is also understandable.

He's a skinnier, more agile, Tim Tebow. Definitely a really good athlete, but doesn't have the accuracy to have much of a chance in the NFL. When all of the DEs run 4.8 40s, your athleticism won't bail you out.

His arm strength is an enigma to me. He often underthrew his deep balls, but never looked like he really was putting 100% on his throws. I swear his arm looked stronger at Duke.

He never seemed to have total confidence when throwing. His footwork and arm slot was erratic and seemed to often get out of whack sitting in the pocket.

I think he spent half the game tired and battered from running around didn’t help his pass mechanics

He had trouble processing the field and bailed early a lot. Justin Fields on steroids.

To my untrained eye there isn't a huge mystery to Leonard's passing.

1. He get's injured and has to have a procedure re-done to ensure the integrity of his ankle
2. He lost the spring to build rapport with the WRs
3. He loses his LT and gets a true freshman to replace him
4. Our OL doesn't grade well all season but especially early in pass blocking
5. He develops a fast clock in his head that doesn't allow him to sit back and read/unload so he makes quick reads and has an issue with timing/deep shots

It could've played out so differently if Jag doesn't get hurt or if we didn't suffer so many add'l injuries or if his ankle heals correctly the first time and he has more time to develop comfort.

Hartman had the shittiest OC out of all of them. Sam’s past years at Wake should be considered which would get him
Closer to the top of this list. Not to mention he didn’t have a draft worthy WR. Nice running game and OL but he was capable of more than he was asked to do. Like Coan he could have used his wheels more and actually run the read option and keep the ball but I don’t think he wanted to. Missed opportunity plus not showing up big in our biggest games. I would take Leonard over Sam. What about Andrew Hendrix?

The 2023 team arguably had more talent (or at least 'as much' talent) as the 2024 team. They had a Top 5 defense in advanced stats and certainly had a much more talented OL when you consider the two tackles.

That team, IMO, goes at worst 11-1 and probably 12-0 with Denbrock. The three losses were Ohio State (easy win to be had because defense shut them down), Louisville where we turned it over a hundred times with horribly called offense, and Clemson where it was similar shit... defense forced tons of 3 & out, offense stunk up the joint because we couldn't scheme WRs open or run the ball. The WRs were terrible but we also did them no favors... I don't know much about football, but people I trust seemed to think the passing concepts were "JV high school level."

Coaching matters, Hartman was not put in position to succeed. That's also my big concern with what's going on at DC.

Also didn't help that we both 1. Didn't have enough receivers and 2. All of the receivers got injured

Sargarin's Final 2023 rankings - we were sneaky very good, and likey would have been a betting favorite over UW in the title. Wild.

2023 was also our highest FPI rating (22+) in the 20 year history of the metric....until 2024.

Offense was total shit but I thought the run defense was a liability last year when it mattered - L'ville, Clemson and even Duke ran it all over us. OSU run game was held in check for most of the game until henderson broke off that long run, and that was a backbreaker.
