For those skeptical, Riley Leonard is a legitimate Day 2 prospect. If he takes the next step, there’s an argument for him to be taken first round.

The general consensus is he’s a legitimate dual threat QB that can make NFL throws. He doesn’t have the best arm strength but he can get it there. He has an above average release speed. His ball placement is also considered by scouts to be above average. He has above average football IQ which allows him to break down defenses.

He needs to improve mechanics and get better at manipulating the defense. He can telegraph where he’s going a bit too much. Accuracy on the run needs improvement. Improved footwork would really help him.

Overall, he could really be a homerun. I was an idiot for doubting him. Fully on board the RL train.

If you look at those two statements, they are both actually pretty vague.
