A lot of these "kids" are taking a reasonable load of summer classes.....12 credits in the Fall (the minimum for a full time student), 15 in the spring, and 9 in the summer (including 9 in the summer before your freshman year), puts player's on track to graduate in 3 years.....or very close. Could he be a semester and summer school away from graduation....(maybe a Duke degree) and then grad school next fall?

we need a qb with some wheels given our offensive ineptitude against solid defenses. not crapping on Sam, it just wasn't an ideal situation for a pocket passer in our offense this year. looks like it'll be the same story in 24. Leonard can make a real difference because of his running ability. I'd imagine we are least 10-2 going to a ny6 this year if we had Leonard and probably 11-1 or better. Leonard looks like what we wanted Buchner to be.

I remember thinking Bo Nix to Oregon wasn’t exciting, but I was wrong. Not saying RL is about to match what Nix is doing, but more that it’s hard to project. Even if he is mediocre, he still likely gives us a better shot in College Station, which is likely our hardest game next year.

Go watch his highlights on youtube, then try to convince me we aren't winning the natty next year.

This guy is Desmond Ridder, btw, just trends slightly more towards a power runner whereas Ridder was a speed guy.

Same build and skill set imo, though. Comfortable fit for Gino.

he's quite a bit faster than ridder. ridder had good running ability, but not real speed. kind of a poor man's jalen hurts. Leonard is legit 4.5 fast.

ETA - my bad, ridder is about the same speed as Leonard. better feet, but not as powerful.

Leonard has wheels and can hit the layups in the passing game. If Gino can help develop him into a better 'tight-window' thrower, then the offense could be hella fun to watch next year.

The speed we have is real:
Love
Price
Faison
KK?
Merriweather (if he's still here)
B James?

But we 100% need to add some more established receiving threats, even if they end up rotational and not true #1s.

Kudos to ND for getting what is likely considered, the top QB in the portal 2 years in a row. More props if they continue adding difference makers to augment the roster. We have a lot of young, developing talent and Leonard makes our entire offseason more fun. We can watch him practice with Angeli, Minchey, & Carr and if any of them look competitive, even better.

Does Angeli stay?

Merriweather is gone my man.
