I love it for him, perfect place to develop for an offense that’s gonna fit his strengths. He’s could absolutely be a Taysum Hill type player for the colts if they develop him correctly

So glad he went to a team without an established QB so he'll have a real chance at proving himself. I was worried he'd be drafted by someone like Philly or KC or whatever where he would be relegated to clipboard duty forever. He may not pan out but at least he should have a shot.

Pretty cool to see him and Warren together especially after a recent, epic playoff game. Indy got one heckuva tight end in Warren. Was surprised to see Loveland go ahead of him, although I get the logic. They also got one heckuva young man who happens to be a good qb with the heart of a lion. Will be keeping an eye on Indy with these 2.

You’d think he was their 1st round pick with how often I see him on socials

Colts drafted a QB that played in the NCG. Played for the biggest CFB brand not only in the state, but the country. Kid with a great smile, attitude and is media savvy. I can see the Colts milking this for all they can. I'm curious to see the home crowds reaction when he gets his first possession.

Anthony Richardson: pulls self from a game at the highest level of competition because tired

Riley Leonard: runs the ball 23 times on opening drive, gets battered, scores TD, pukes on sideline, plays entire game, almost mounts miraculous comeback

Interesting QB room!

He is going to have to do a lot of good things before people forget about that.

I love that my hometown team picked up Leornard!! The guy plays with passion and heart! Much needed in our dire QB situation. I would love him to be the next great Colts Quarterback!

Running #2 behind Daniel jones. A Richardson has more shoulder pain. Who knows…maybe Riley gets some burn this year

With Richardson basically worthless to this point, I see Leonard eventually going head to head with Daniel Jones for the starting spot. Jones I think wins in the short term but I'm hopeful Leonard will compete for some quality snaps.

To the bolded, I've been preaching this before the draft and will continue to.

How do you take a guy with so little experience and the experience he had did not produce any decent stats. He doesn't have it between the ears and it looks like he's injury prone. Bad combination.

On a side note, did the Colts release the scout that was pushing to take Richardson? Heard on the radio he is no longer listed on their web site.

I think anyone that watched Richardson in college knew he wasn't going to be a standout NFL player. Tremendous athleticism, but he couldn't diagnose a defense to save his life. He had a bit too much Johnny Football in him in that respect. Manziel was successful in college because he could move and he could buy time for Evans to get open. His football IQ, and real IQ, were low. Those combos don't typically pan out well in the NFL.

Richardson was a prospect because he was basically Josh Allen. Giant man, great athlete, absolute laser rocket attached to his shoulder. It’s like a lottery ticket.

Allen was put in a perfect situation, continued to develop his accuracy, and the ticket cashed.

AR… did none of these

Manziel was a way way better college QB than Richardson. Richardson started in 13 total games and his completion percentage in his last season was 53%.

It's still early, mega talent with little experience and has a shoulder problem that needs to be fully addressed. Jury is still out

What Riley did at ND last season it would surprise me to see him starting at some point for the Colts.

I could see the Colts eventually getting rid of Richardson.

And like people that invest in lottery tickets instead of building wealth the right way, the colts will find themselves losing and having nothing to show for it
