All you need to know for recruiting news is right here. Posted 20 minutes ago and holy hell is this article sloppy. He has zero clue what’s going on and doesn’t even bother to edit that McAfee isn’t visiting and Jones switched his visit. What an embarrassment.

I really don’t understand why he left IB. I thought at the time he was going to go get a regular job or something and maybe he did and this new venture is a side gif or something but man has Roberts fallen off.

sounds like the staff is prioritizing a smaller class, with higher NIL concentration among top end players. They're taking advantage of the numbers they have at some positions in the program and aloting extra funds to positions that they have some ballers on the board... Guys like Sesay, Henderson, Jones Jr, Simien and Parks / Alexander won't come cheap and ND is looking to wrap those guys up over the next 2-3 weeks.

I like the strategy. I'd rather take a class of 24 guys and add significant impact, instead of taking 27 guys and adding nunbers to the program with lesser players.

Below appears to be what they're shooting for...

QB: Champ Monds
RB: Lathan Whisenton
RB: Isaiah Rogers
WR: Julius Jones Jr
WR: Jackson Coleman
TE: Titus Hawk
OL: Olu Olobubola
OL: Albert Simien
OL: James Halter
OL: Richie Flanigan
OL: Jackson Hill
DE: Abraham Sesay
DE: Jackson Vaughn
DE: Aidan O'Neil
DT: David Folorunsho
DT: Brayden Parks OR Tyler Alexander OR Segun Alexander
LB: Kaden Henderson
LB: Roman Igwebuike
CB: Xavier Hasan
CB: Ace Alston
NB: John Gay III
S: Zayden Gamble
S: Andre Hippolyte
LS: Sean Kraft
Add James at S, Gayles at WR and possibly another CB

The 4 top of the board guys
Updated 247:
Gayles - 34th
Simien - 41st
Fakatou - 45th
Henderson - 58th

Composite - 3 of 4 are 5 stars
14 OA Simien
22 OA Henderson
24 OA Fakatou
46 OA Gayles

I think Henderson is most likely. Do they go 2/4 from this group?

Other thoughts:
- Jones and Sesay appear silents
- Seems like staff may want more than 2 DTs in the class with 4 prospect visiting, most of any position
- Need Igwebuike after letting Irvin walk
- one of James or Hyppolite at DB
- one of Gayles or Simien to make 11 offense signees

Loy weighed in on the following prospects on this the latest II recruiting podcast:

Sesay: Would be genuinely shocked if ND doesn't land him (sounds like he is a silent or will pop shortly)

Parks: Recruitment has gone back and forth and is very close, but he thinks ND edges out Oregon

Igwebuike: It seems like none of his top 5 have a good read on him, if ND turns up the heat they could land him

James: His commitment isn't solid but he's leaning towards staying, ND feels like they have a good shot

Fakatou: OSU has the edge right now

Hyppolite: ND is probably running 3rd and it would be surprising if they got him

JJR: Would be shocked if ND doesn't land him

Alexander: ND hasn't gone all in yet due to other targets on the board

Henderson (this was before it came out that Miami was out): Says he could be misreading it but he feels ND was running 3rd (so 2nd now since Miami is out). ND's last visit was an eye-opener.

That sounds like Irvin but the only James committed is James Halter which would be stunning. Probably Greedy James and meant commitment to Texas.

Well Granger do you have your stake out cooler packed for official weekend? It's close enough to lunch time I was expecting an update by now

Loy also thought Henderson might commit to Miami yesterday
I bet Heatherman was projecting some confidence to the media. I get it, he’s not used to big time football. This isn’t the Big10 West where every guy they recruit just commits to the most local program, the national teams actually want these guys.

In fairness, if you read between the lines, it seems like Miami came in with a hefty NIL package yesterday to Henderson and said take it and commit now or it’s gone and we are no longer going to recruit you. Loy may have heard the offer, or heard from Henderson’s camp, that he was leaning towards taking it. Instead henderson said no, and Miami came out and said we’re moving on (via doucheface EJ).

I wouldn’t necessarily say that Loy is not trustworthy for the other leads because he thought Henderson might commit to Miami yesterday and now is down to A&M and ND.

One thing to note is that Loy is now more of a national guy than ND guy now. He hears from sources of sources often. Still a good source, but not the top guy. I trust the ISD guys for just ND and Wiltfong for national guys

Would assume a more accurate statement is Baker Mayfield is at Notre Dame during the Irish’s OV weekend.
