Yes things have changed. It’s like the United Nations minus all the Nordic regions and then some.Well times must've changed, I saw plenty of blondes on my my visits out there (back in '01 and '02). Definitely heard about the politics on the campus albeit it's been a lot more recent.
Another Irish kid ND could have gotten. Played at Troy for Porker

Kind of, yea. I dont know if I see it either. He makes some incredible throws mixed in with a bit of wtf.Seems very silly passing that up when I just don't see him being a first round talent in the NFL. Is he supposed to be that highly thought of???
Actually there was a lot of in-season talk of Simpson getting drafted in the 1st round. But even if he fell to the 2nd round he'd make more in the NFL than with that NIL package. Tyler Shough went 40th last year to New Orleans. His rookie deal was for 10m guaranteed. His 1st year salary was 5.3m (4.5m signing bonus and a salary of 840k). If someone plucks Simpson in the 1st round he'll easily best the Miami offer. He'll come close to that offer if he goes in the 2nd round.Seems very silly passing that up when I just don't see him being a first round talent in the NFL. Plus, if he ends up winning the job for a NFL team, his endorsement money and possibilities will exceed anything he could get at Miami or MissActually there was a lot of in-season talk of Simpson getting drafted in the 1st round. Two notes:
1) In the NFL your 2nd contract is where you make your real money. The sooner you start you NFL clock is the sooner you'll be in position to negotiate that 2nd contract.
2) 2nd Rd picks actually have a quicker clock than 1st round picks. 1st rd picks are subject to be "optioned" in year 5. 2nd round picks can't be optioned after year 4 so they hit FA quicker (ie. can get their 2nd deal sooner).
Not really but it's an extremely weak draft for QBs. After all the Heisman winner and guy that could Possibly go #1 would've been in a QB battle with a FR but transferred to IU after a 16-6 ratio and barely 3k season.Seems very silly passing that up when I just don't see him being a first round talent in the NFL. The NFL forgives a lot of things if you’re 6’5”…Not really but it's an extremely weak draft for QBs. After all the Heisman winner and guy that could Possibly go #1 would've been in a QB battle with a FR but transferred to IU after a 16-6 ratio and barely 3k season.
ON3 has Leavitt choosing LSU. Big loss for Miami. Simpson is about the only top gun left.
