ISD Freeman now, Brewu isn’t a take for OSU. Didn’t elaborate or discuss ND, but sounds like OSU might get the bama duo.

Yeah I went on the OSU board on on3 earlier today just to see and their insider said he wasn't a take. Want a bigger body and they are all in for the bama boys

Honestly at this point if he makes the trip he’s probably a Hoosier

That’s why I said close before he goes to Indiana. We clearly have money we planned on going to Marsh, Gilliam, etc. Overpay, close it out, tell him the offer is contingent on him signing now. Need to win this one.

What it comes down to for me is that Smith and Russaw profile much better for Ohio State. Not only with the scheme fit, but also their cultural fit at the university. By comparison, I think Brewu profiles much better for Notre Dame, as long as he's not intimidated by the academic component... Agreed that landing him would be a big win for ND.

Without counting Mukam

Over or under 6 transfers?
Over... By time it's all said and done I'm going to say...

1-2x WR
1x CB
1x NB
2x DT
1x DE
1x K
1x QB

I'll throw 8 out there as the number. If they can't find 2 WRs that they really like, I'll go with 7...

Hopefully, they're willing to spend $10'ish million in portal money, because that's what you might be looking at to land 8 guys... Unless you save money by bringing in some potential types that have not yet produced at a high level college. TBD.

The other thing to consider is that prices might actually start to come down over the course of this week, as the aggressive portal teams exhaust their budgets and most of the big names come off the board. You might start to see a market reversal (positionally dependent) in some cases.

I think over. Still think we end up with 1 QB, 2-3 DL, 2 WRs. 1-2 DBs, 1K. Possibly even 1 RB. I’m guessing 8 total. Might not be until the 20th that we hear of all of them, but I think by 1/20, it’s 8.
Don't they need to start classes tomorrow?

I’m having trouble getting geeked about Mukam. 2024-2025 9 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 0 sacks, 1 FF. Hopefully he is a depth piece.

You shouldn't be overly pumped yet... He's done very little in his career. That said, he was just starting his emergence late last season, so maybe he clicks with the new DL coach and becomes a strong rotational player in the top 4. Notre Dame doesn't have a lot of 6'3, 300+lb bodies that can move... So they're basically buying traits to see if Partridge can turn him into something.

My read, TIFWIW. ND didnt want him to portal, agent thought he could get more, so he leaves. ND raises the ante a bit, his preference is to stay at ND, so he does. In the end, compared to a week ago, ND is likely paying a bit more, but both are happy.
