I’m not dancing on the Underwood grave yet.

- Michigan won’t face a defend like OU until the last game of the season.

- It was his first real start on the road against one of the best defensive minds of this era.

- He was without one of their top 2 targets

Has clear arm talent was just inaccurate most of the night.

@ Nebraska in two weeks will be a hard but more telling test IMO
Nebraska is a hard test? Against what, a MAC team???

Kirk all night: "Look at the incredible athleticism of this Michigan defender chasing down the offensive player that just ran by them for a 15 yard gain."
3-4 years ago I loved Herbie. Probably my favorite national guy. He has gotten terrible since then. Very arrogant, thin skinned, his whole pathological narcissistic sympathy farming bit with his dog, etc. He really thinks he's like the God of CFB, when he's just a commentator.

Anyone at Zach Bryan tonight? Sounded like the vibes in the stadium were awesome.

I love dogs. I love my dog. I hate everything about his whole dog gimmick. Whether it’s sincere or not, it comes off as gross.

Someone mentioned it may be an emotional support pet for him, makes since with how weird he has gotta over the past few years. He may stay up all night reading all the negative comments about him

@forkbeard3777 get the vibe lsu is a tad overrated as a team
Like the N. Illinois game last year, these games are hard to get up for. Alternatively, they’re the in-state opponent’s “Super Bowl.”

Sloan (OC), in my opinion, called a really poor, clunky game. It was hard for the offense and Nuss get in rhythm. That said, major, major props to the Tech defense. They run that 3-3-5, and it really gave LSU fits. I really do think they’ve got a legit defense. A lot of speed and athleticism on that side of the ball for Tech. Still not impressed with our offensive line and our center was getting worked.

Our defense again looked unreal. I know it was Tech, but they couldn’t do a damn thing. The Chinese Bandits are big, fast, strong and athletic … so refreshing to see again. Held them to less than 100 yards passing (their TD was a 33 yarder on a missed assignment) and they had 58 rushing yards on 27 attempts.

That defense will keep us in every game we play. We’ve gotta get the offensive line figured out and the offense to be more consistent

The thing is, he does it to himself. He has a pattern of making some outlandish comment that he knows is going to rile people up, doubling down, and then he cries, grabs his dog, and acts like a victim.

He’s not too bad.
Glad he has a paying gig. Not sure if he graduated or not. He left early for the pros before the disastrous third season 2007 I think of Charlie Weiss. We could have used him but might have gone bad for him. Good little running back but seemed to always run out of bounds to avoid getting hit. Not sure if he last more than a year or two in the pros. Nice Charlie Weiss special teams reference.

I got no problem with someone who wants to spend time with his dog. I think it’s cool to see his dog on set. As someone who has lost and will soon lose another dog I support Kirk. He ha said some good things about our new QB and Marcus et al. If we didn’t have that NBC contract he would be all over ND all the time in a good way. You want to listen to Klatt instead?! No thank you.

I’ve been saying for a while, I watch more and more of Big Noon Kickoff. Yeah, it has its own problems, but between Herbie acting like a beta man, Alabama Jones boring me to death, and that idiot, shirtless manchild, I can’t do Gameday anymore.

It’s still, and will always be, better than Dave Portnoy.

I don’t really know this Dave guy enough to make a call. I’ve never listened to his podcast or whatever the hell it is. Seemed a bit lost in Ames yesterday.

He runs a company. Barstools whole shtick is not super different than mcafee. A bunch of everyman sorta guys with some personality. Him struggling to fit in Ames actually is pretty predictable if true.

Hes a Massachusetts Jewish guy who went to Michigan, built his company in Boston/NYC, and lives in Miami. Nothing wrong with any of that, but it doesn't scream fitting the vibe of Ames, Iowa. By the way, great place to catch a game if your alma mater is playing there or something.

If you were gonna give me a bro-dude to head down to Ames and be on a pregame show, give me Will Compton.

My son’s first (and 2nd) game was in Ames. They were hosting TCU and a WR toad gave my son his hand bands as he walked by at the end of the game. Still not sure he isn’t going to end up going to school there, always been one of his teams.

Totally missed that Army beat KSU. The unexpected fall of KSU is pretty crazy to me. The Big 12 was ripe to be theirs with some consistency.

Klein has to be on the short list there if things don't get better in a hurry

Their defense was really poor in the second half - the K-State offense did not really have the ball until late in the 4th quarter. There was a stretch where Army ran 37 plays on offense compared to 4 for K-State in the second half (there was a turnover on a kickoff which added to the discrepancy).

A very underrated loss for K-State was Conor Riley, their offensive line coach, going to the Cowboys in the NFL. He's a terrific line coach.

KSU needed a miracle to beat North Dakota. Not North Dakota State.

At home. They arent a good football team this year.

Eh, KSU is coming off 10-4, 9-4 and 9-4 seasons, and won the Big XII in 2022, when the Big XII was still quasi-decent.

I'd say it would take a bad year in '25 and a bad start in '26 for them to axe Klieman.
