:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Are people serious with this shit? We're losing players that were beat out by freshmen and sophomores (and one sophomore that was beat out after a starting audition). Rudolph worked magic to have those guys prepared to play. How many games lost a player mid-drive?

I loved the guys for their gritty performance but they have to transfer because they'll get a chance to play elsewhere. A spot on ND's starting unit will be a fierce competition this spring/summer/fall. The same guys beat out last year by younger guys are virtually guaranteed to get beat out again and there's more competition now.
It seems to hurt from a depth standpoint which after the last month seemed pretty important. How are the freshman and sophomores we didn’t see?

Hope all the transfers fare well and have great careers going forward.

We'll always lose some competitive backup snaps to the portal, especially if injury gave them a chance to showcase themselves. Teams need OL who can play and we were a veritable assembly line for OL. Coogan/Spindler were the 7th/8th best OL in their senior years. The young guys have more growth ahead.

The freshman and sophomores we didn't see must be pretty good if the coaching staff had exit interviews and this is the result. Depth is important, good thing we have another year to develop it before the next season starts.

Would be pretty cool if all 3 QBs actually stick around until fall. Unless someone is clearly the worst. Then maybe let him know so he can transfer if he wants.

So 9 out and 8 in. Shouldnt it be the other way around?
Whoever is in charge of the portal needs to be working somewhere else.
Seems we got some good depth inbounds but not real game changers. Meanwhile, several of our guys going out are going to start on D1 teams next fall.
Seems like we arent really improving here.

The fact that the guys we're losing will go start on D1 teams should be an indicator of how good the guys who beat them out for jobs (the reason they're leaving) are. Meanwhile I believe everyone we're bringing in except two (Hughes from USC and Washington from Arkansas) started for a P4 team last year and will likely either start or be a primary reserve for us.
No, maybe none of them are All-Americans, but we have a ton of good players coming back, and these transfers fill holes in the places where we're thin.
Again, the outlook might change if someone drops a bag and steals a couple of our studs, but I don't know what people are complaining about at this point. If you're a program that values development and culture this is a very smart way to use the portal.

We got more then we lost in terms of improving our roster. Just cause they will start elsewhere @ D1 schools doesnt mean they would start here or even get meaningful snaps for most

No it actually shouldn’t. The roster sits at I think 98 currently. You want a churn of the roster and guys that won’t contribute to leave so you can recruit more talent out of high school.

If we added more guys than we lose, that is a pretty bad sign for the roster

huh??? ND only lost players who were not going to start, meanwhile, ND landed:
Dawson - Will start on the DL
D Smith - Will start at NB
Burnette - Will start at kicker
Fields - Will start at WR
Stroman - may start at Safety, but will at least be a major part of the rotation
Pauling - Probably wont start, but will see plenty of minutes as they rotate quite a bit
Hughes - Will be part of the interior Dline rotation
Washington - Probably the only lackluster pickup, I do not see him starting and I think he will be the #3 TE.

Poster saying a CB, S, and RB have still yet to hit the portal. The RB may wait until the spring period.

Guy later said he didn't have any sources, he just "studied the roster"

May still have people transfer out but I wouldn't lose sleep over what this guy is saying today

Washington is motivated. A friend's nephew is good friends with him, grew up in Leesburg, played football together, etc. He knows he made a mistake in not communicating well with the Arkansas staff, but they were shit asses to him, too. He's a good student, is ahead in his coursework and feels he has something to prove on the field. I don't know how it will work out, but I'm rooting for the kid.

The portal names have been coordinated in release if you think of it, Thomas and Colzie. Spindler and Coogan

Pendleton was first in and is already committed. You could recklessly speculate he was only one that quickly wanted out. No statement either.

Driskell poured more gasoline on the OL room being a mess and the players don't trust Rudolph and that's why these players are transferring. Even goes on to say he expects more to leave unless it's corrected.

How could the oline room possibly be a mess. Rudolph put together a top tier line last year with duct tape and wd 40. They should all say thanks what should I do next sir and shut the fuck up.

What's fun is you can kind of tell what players/assistants were dishing out info based on premium guy reactions.
