Wisconsin is doing similar but being extra dumb about it as they are refusing to enter Xavier Lucas into the portal because they suspect tampering, even though Wisconsin is now the ones in clear violation of NCAA rules.
Even their fans are pissed at Fickel for this as it's burning some bridges with agents and Lucas's high school which was becoming a bit of a pipeline

Tom Zbikowski is coming back with unlimited eligibility. I thought I read that of the 4 supposed locked in transfers per the 247 "in the know" poster that 2 were DTs, 1 DE, and 1 S, but I can't remember that for sure.

Considering he received his first real-shot at playing time as a nickel (and performed well at it in the SEC), it would be odd if he wanted to go that route.

The back 7 will definitely be the star of the show. There are some questions along the DL, but if the staff can rectify them, they should once again be a top 10 unit.

I love Tae as the third corner next year. Don't want an elite athlete slowed down by having to learn the safety role in this scheme. He's an NFL potential corner under Mickens tutelage.

Hopefully Golden and staff have locked up at least a few of these guys. I would add Jared Dawson with Louisville and the new SDSU DT entry (Tupu Alualu) to the target list. 4 portal defensive tackles that Notre Dame football should be pursuing to add for the 2025 season
What scares me is if both guys we have signed aren't plug in play then none of these guys fall into that, all these guys are starting caliber.

Now that the undergrad portal is closed, target team announcements are starting to trickle in. One DT target is off the list with Utah's Keanu Tanuvasa signing with Ute sister school, BYU.
But when one falls off, another pops up... Pitt's Sincere Edwards, a starting true freshman DL, just popped into the portal. On smaller side for a DL but again is only a true freshman. Had 17 tackles, 6 TFL, and 3 sacks for The Panthers. Intriguing...
