Does anyone know or have an educated guess who this can be? Notre Dame football already eyeing biggest need in the transfer portal, and will reportedly fill it aggressively From the story: There is even a target out there that Notre Dame is expected to have very high interest in. A name can’t be put out there yet since he isn’t officially in the portal yet, but he does play currently in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). He also is going to be very well liked by Irish fans if he does end up with the team. The fanbase has been yearning for a massive nose tackle, and that is an understatement with this unnamed player. Said player also will have just one year of eligibility left, but that’s the final clue for tonight.

Someone had mentioned the 330 NT from Rice. Whether that’s legit or not…

I think it may this Tulane top DT Patrick Jenkins, Tulane DT Looks like he transferred from TCU (enrolled Jan '20) and has put in 3 years at Tulane so if he redshirted and has COVID year, he could have 6th year of eligibility -- Right?

Likely ND targets two DTs, especially the last month since Onye's status is TBD. A true NT is needed, so like Blake Boenisch fella makes sense. But, they also need a guy that can do everything, particularly interior pressure. Corleone would be that guy.

Hobbs is the current backup and Golden has said he wants to be the "Nickel" and I'm fine with that if they can't get stud.

Boenisch looks good as an early down gap plugger. He's not going to provide much dynamism in the pass rush from what I saw watching Rice clips

Who do we think is going to enter the portal from ND this year? That RB room is pretty crowded. Hope we don’t lose any of them. At least Ford won’t be taking any snaps. Hopefully Sneed is feeling better about his role recently and so many young players getting some PT. Could see losing Jayden Thomas if we go looking in the portal for more WRs. Same goes for the TEs. So many players contributing. Feel like we lose a QB even though we don’t get one in the portal. Buchner can be QB3 if we lose one of our top 3. Question is who would you prefer leaving?

1 or 2 QBs, multiple OL, a WR, and a LB are my best guesses

If we have to lose one I would prefer Angeli, b/c I think he has the lowest ceiling, but I expect it would be Minchey. I was a little surprised/impressed he came back this year, to be honest. I wish he was getting more snaps.

Will be very curious to see how the portal works in relation to the playoffs. It's open from Dec. 9 through 28th. Second round games don't even start until Dec. 31. Will there be a later window for players on teams that are still playing? Will guys jump in while their teams are still alive?

I'm pretty sure he is.

Speaking of him I know it's not in denbrock s DNA but I would love to see some 2 te sets with him and rairidon. Both are good receivers in the slot and getting better blocking at the point

This is his fourth year with at least five games. He appeared in every game a freshman in ‘21, but recorded just two catches (special teams?). It’s too bad.

Yes. Players have a window to enter the portal if their last game is after the 28th.
