Don’t even get these draft rankings how is Clark not a top 10 corner in this draft dude was lock down. Yet they got Ohio States trash corner ahead of him

Sanders has the talent, so this has to be about his personality, attitude and dad. Assuming the reports about his interviews are true, it’s not hard to see why he’s falling. He would be a major disruption in the locker room and the quickest way to lose your team is to have someone like Sanders.

Frankly, I’m almost certain that when Shedeur didn’t go top-5…this was almost a preferred outcome for the Sanders camp. It gives them publicity. It gives them ANOTHER platform. Who’s the talk of the draft? Would we be talking about him if he went toward the end of R1?

No but his paycheck would be a lot bigger

I guess, but really when you look at it, there’s only a $9mil difference in rookie wage scale between the 32nd and 103rd picks, but there’s a $35mil difference between the 1st and 32nd pick. At this point, the difference in salary is negligible, but there’s difference in publicity is remarkable.

Yes. The problem is he isn’t talented enough in relation to the off the field stuff. Teams will put up with a player’s bullshit as long as it’s worth it from a production/talent standpoint. It’s why Tebow (totally different personality) didn’t stick around longer. Why put up with a media distraction for a 2nd string quarterback?

The talent/distraction scale reminds me of this famous video discussing the hot/crazy matrix for women. Same principle.

whats up, Dale?

Wheres your dude?

lol you were never actually reading my posts so this doesn’t surprise me. I think Shedeur is better than Dart if your goal is to draft a starting QB. I still do. My post was mainly about using a 1st on Dart, which I still think was a bad pick.

If you don’t like Sanders, take Milroe as a project. Dart will be a career backup/journey man.”

Sanders off field stuff is real baggage but I don’t know a single thing on the field Dart does better”

I’m fine with teams passing on Sanders, but doing so for Dart in the first round still is awful.”

Then earlier today: “Once you aren’t drafting Shedeur to be a potential starting QB, there’s really no point in taking him now as a backup”

You were so set on talking **** on Sanders, you never actually really engaged in the real point I was making, which is ironic since that is something Shedeur or Deion would probably do

I’d take Riley over Shadeur. One led a team to a national title game with no first round picks. The other walked off the field vs Nebraska.
Was just talking about this with my kid. If you're not taking a QB in the first round (and certainly if you're looking at QBs in the 4th round), you're probably looking at him as a backup QB. Who would you rather have as a backup QB? Sanders? Or Leonard? I don't think that's a hard call, TBH.

Many of our most “talented” players were either Hurt or underclassmen. J Love, Jagusah, Knapp, Craig, Bryce Young, Traore, Leonard Moore, Christian Gray, KVA, Bowen, Schuler are all likely to be top half of the draft guys.

Doesn’t count Price, Greathouse, Faison, Ausberry, Sneed, Onye, or the other talented OL either who are likely to be drafted as well.

I think you nailed it.

At this point teams don’t think Sanders is developed enough to be the starting QB this coming year.

Teams are then left with the decision, will Sanders be content developing for a couple years or will he be a problem.

Goolsby is fing annoying on Twitter bitching because Notre Dame doesn’t have top draft picks like Michigan and Ohio State. News flash majority of our best players last year were freshman and Sophomores

Think we are going to end up at 10+ guys drafted next year when you look at probables / possible draft picks, Which is why you shouldn’t care about our # in this draft.

Likely to be drafted:
Love
Price
Fields (if he doesn’t then we failed big time)
Raridon (not early but has NFL size)
Dawson
Onye (think he takes a step)
Schuler (probably too good to return)
Sneed

Maybes (Mix of out of Eligibility / talented underclassmen):
Craig
Wagner
Schrauth
Greathouse
Rubio
Burnham
Bowen
Gray
Devonta Smith
They are projecting Jaguash as a late first rounder 2nd rounder I doubt he leaves early unless he has a crazy good year

I really like these guys. Ryan Clark especially.

Starts at minute 2:25.

They really nail it about Shedeur. I don't disagree with much they're saying here.

This is the first time in his life that his father couldn't control the football part of his life and what was going to happen. Doesn't define him, but he's going to have to own falling out of the first round now.

Loved this perspective.

I'd like to see a follow-up to this.

Crowder intimated the Giants took Dart over Sanders because he's white. I'd like to hear their takes on him not even going in R3.

Agreed. He can’t let it go like he’s being passive-aggressive towards Freeman or something despite these the fact MF inherited most of the upperclassmen. He also conveniently leaves out the fact that OSU won the 2014 Natty w/o one first round pick.

I don't understand why all these "experts" are so surprised by his fall. It isn't rocket science. And it has very little to do with Deion being his Dad. All you have to do is read about his interviews. Who wants a QB that is entitled and not coachable? His talent level is not worth the headache. It's not hard. Whoever said it is Kapernick all over again is right. Hos talent level didn't match his headache level either. It isn't hard. GMs and coaches want to win. They are going to pick people that help the team do so. Culture matters.

Kaepernick and him are not even close to the same thing. The comparison is horrible

So if Sanders drops past Pittsburgh again I actually start to wonder, is there actually a chance he simply is not drafted at all? You have to think someone jumps in soon right??
