Recruiting is a complete shit show now.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many massive de commits all over the country like this year.

26 recruits are going to be looking to get PAID..

I don’t think the gravy train runs out until some of these big paydays really start busting years later.

We’re going to have to pay to play & frankly we should be dominating that scene.

The Cal QB, woah. I was also never a fan of how the staff stopped recruiting Marco Jones.

It’s frustrating knowing as a brand Notre Dame is elite yet we attract almost zero five star recruits year in & year out.

I know we have the academic hurdles but it’s not like they have to take advanced chemistry.. Film & TV is a pretty easy path.

They must not even have to give any attention whatsoever to academics at these other schools..

But I’m also disappointed we’re not flexing the wallets ND always brags about having..

I was told by Pete himself they’d compete with anyone when it came to NIL.. that’s clearly not the case.

The staff has done great developing but we need some thoroughbreds sprinkled in there or we’re going to get outclassed late in the playoffs every year.

Same mantra.. good but not good enough.. is simply not good enough.

I thought we'd improve recruting once Stanford hit the dumpster. But just doesnt feel like their demise matters.

I think the Academics thing is overblown. If you have a 3.0-ish GPA and can get around a 1000 on the SAT, which isn't even that great of a score, you can get into ND to play football. I think the only real hurdle is that stupid foreign language requirement. ND just needs to sell their "easiest" degrees to recruits.

Will Black is the #2 overall recruit in the On3 rankings
I didn’t say we never get them.. and OL is our wheelhouse.

Would you trade recruiting classes with Ohio St right now? Or Texas, Bama?

On field aside.. If we’re touting NDs ability to develop wouldn’t it be fun to develop classes like that?

ND has to start winning in the postseason and beating the OSUs, Georgia's, and Bama's of the world. Until then, the Irish will stay where they are.

Super talented NT from one of GA's top programs. High academic school, boasts an offer from GT (highest academic offer). Big boy, 6 sacks 17 TFLs (his whole team has TFLs for days)

Recently offered by South Carolina (presumed leader), UGA, Texas, and has visited Bama.

His teammate London Seymour is no joke either, 6'5 305 with offers from BC and Colorado

Another teammate is Cole Funderburk, Wake Forest commit. 6'4 235, has had 41 Sacks and 87 TFLS in 3 years.

Schedule isn't a joke either, they've beaten very good Colquitt County, Mill Creek, and Norcross teams

Going to be harder to land guys late in the cycle without visiting especially if they moved up early signing day

Is this a wish list guy or an actual target?
Wish list, but if Wiggins buys the “unique body” pitch this guy should too. No need to go to UGA to play 4th fiddle in your own class, no need to go to South Carolina and perpetually be 8-4

Napier is going to dupe some kids late here based on a win over a floundering BK team.

When it comes to 5 star players, I don't think the player's schedule at ND is given enough weight by most fans. Why deal with the schedule at ND if you are going to college to play football?

I don't think the vast majority of 5 stars are going to college to play school. 50+% (i think?) bust rates don't breakthrough because of the self confidence these kids have.
