It sounds like the three recruits ND moved the needle with the most are all Safties; Taylor, Long & Blair.

Before the visit ND didn’t have much a chance with Blair, now they might lead.

They are the leader for Long.

And they very well could lead for Taylor now too. Taylor is elite.

Now that’s the kind of safety recruiting I can get used to

I love these updates. ND is like the dude at the club that gets f*&^ me eyes all night from some hot girl and in the end the hot girl goes home to bang with some other dude.

I'm not trying to shoot the messenger here, but these kinds of updates mean absolutely nothing to me after everything we've seen over the past year or so. My my POV, you "lead" with a public verbal. That's it. The rest is Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Or Tom Loy I suppose.

That commentary aside, with the way things are shaping out right now, if you're a 2025 safety and ND is looking at you it would take a very foolish camp to not entertain what they've having to say strictly from a point of view of the present and how those numbers project to 2025 without something very drastic changing.

Loy with the cb for Deuce Knight! Excited to see him develop into a more consistent passer this year, with better talent around him.
Wonder if his commitment would help with Beasley.

The following about Anderson in Loy’s article is literally what is said about every ND commit;

“Anderson is a four-star recruit per the composite rankings and a three-star talent per 247Sports.”

Every recruit is a 4 Star composite, but a 3 Star on 247 because Andrew Ivins is a bitch piece of shit.

Would ND take 2 RBs this early?

I’ve heard they only need 1 in the class & would take a 2nd if he was that guy you can’t pass up.

I’m a bit surprised myself. Not that Anderson isn’t quality, just very early to take a second back.

The elusive no profile commit?

I came here to look for it and was surprised it wasn’t up.

I didn’t post one cuz I figured it was Lindsey 2.0 but honestly I know nothing about him.

I’ll post a profile when I get home… if BNSF ever gets here with my CL2 cars.

On3 put out the next 6 possible ND commits.

I haven’t read it.

Are they counting 24 & 25?

If both, I’m guessing Lambert, Davis in 24.

If 25 only, I’m guessing they said Strebig Long, Meadows, Bettis, Byrne, Anderson.

Am I close?

Honorable mention: CB Cree Thomas, WR Cooper Perry, OL Augustine & Black. TE Flanigan.

Yeah, Singer was accounting for both the ‘24 & ‘25 classes.

Augustine, Anderson, Strebig, Long, Lambert and Davis Andrews.

As we all know and expect, Singer says Lambert is probably the first to commit. Davis Andrews likely during the season, but since he’s going on a mission, there is no real need to rush a commitment on his end.

Anyone on the board for TE with the Roberts potential but likely flip?

Flanigan, Brock Schott(who I like a lot) is from Indiana, and there's a kid from Lakota West, teammate of Bennie-Powell and Minich who's listed at 6'8- Luka Gilbert. All are top 10ish TEs that ND should be in a good place with. If Roberts leaves, there's options.

They all had great things to say about O’Leary.

I wonder what school all three safeties are going to actually sign with.

Jack Van Dorselaer is a highly regarded prospect as well.

A nice ISD story on him here:

I learned something today, maybe someone can tell me if I'm late to the party on this or what.

Loy recently posted a thread about 3 ND 2024 recruits who he thought were most likely going to get bumped to 5* status. CJ, Kyngston, and one other I can't remember. (I'll leave it out so I'm not just straight posting premium content... lol)

At any rate. He mentioned later in the thread, recruits who don't make the top 247, (and I would suppose this relates to other recruiting sites) are not expected to get drafted in the NFL.

In other words, the ratings are primarily (arguably solely) meant to project their future pro potential.

This blew me away. Did everyone know this?

Some sites will rank based on nfl potential. I think Rivals has a cap of 32 5 stars to mirror the first rd of the nfl draft

Yeah and the 247 rankings are set by someone who has no prior experience in evaluating talent. 247 is on a downward trend, regarding recruiting.
