Didn't they just replace the turf in the stadium a few years ago? I thought it had a 7 year lifespan, so it would have been around 2021.

Didn't they just replace the turf in the stadium a few years ago? I thought it had a 7 year lifespan, so it would have been around 2021.

Not sure, just thought it was notable since there was a lot of noise this offseason about a desire to go back to grass. I don't think they would be turfing the practice field if there was a lean toward switching back to grass in the next few years.

I mean that's a completely different era of college football that no longer applies to the current day. There's a reason Nick Saban hired Lane Kiffin and completely transformed his offense after the 2014 loss to Ohio State in the playoffs
