Whew….ugly. Stanford is terrible. However, defensively ND played well.

Those two Sundra threes were HUGE.

What if I told you that Shrewsberry would have 0 points, we would hit three 3s, we would shoot less than 60% from the line, Haralson would turn the ball over 8 times, and we would only have one player in double digits points...would you think we won?

Just an absolute painful watch.

Feels like Shrewsberry is good for a few of those "can't hit water falling out of a boat in the Pacific" games every year.

Haralson looked horrible. Can’t shoot. 9 turnovers. Dribbled himself into no man’s land more times than not.

He never got schemed for an open look. I mean they tried a few times but just gave up on it.

And Cal lost to Louisville by twenty at home. Maybe those great records by the two west coast teams were scheduling mirages.

We might win 16 or 17 if we can score more than 47 and hope the other team doesn't score 80.

That was one of the ugliest games I've ever watched. With that said, an ugly win against an 11-2 ACC team is still a solid win. Irish won because they wanted this game more. Shrews lit a fire under their butts after the bad loss and the extra hustle was obvious. They went hard for every 50/50 ball, they boxed out on every rebound and they out-muscled Stanford all game long. Kebba played a really good game and Towt had another solid game (especially in the first half). I did not love the 8 turnovers by Haralson...but we don't win this game without his aggressiveness driving the ball to the basket, With Burton out, Jalen is the ONLY player on the team capable of taking his defender 1-1 and driving to the basket. I thought Sundra was playing a terrible game...until those two massive 3's late in the game. That gave me some hope for him going forward. One player who stood out to me was the freshman Koehler. At one point, he scored 7 straight points. Why did he only get 8 minutes? I'd like to see more of him and less of Sir Mohammed (who looks lost out there). Overall, I'll gladly take this tough win on the road as a building block going into ACC play.

Mohammed for me is a big, big bust...its a very dysfunctional team for me at this point...

One take away for me - how does a sub 7 footer 5 star have no shot? 3-8 from the line and looks no bueno too. These kids that chuck up threes can't make free throws. I'm having heart to heart with 13 year old rec league kids - if you can't make 6-10 from the charity stripe you have no business launching from deep.

Haralson giving off some JJ Starling vibes-5 star recruit who isn’t. Both from LaLumiere

If SGA was a 40% FT shooter he wouldn't have to fake all the contact.

Haralson will have to sit final minute of a close game if he can't hit FTs reliably. Are these kids just that uncoachable/untouchable when it comes to fixing that obvious hole that is most easily fixed in his game? Obviously talented but damn.

Contrast that with Certa - such fluid and automatic FT muscle memory. Catch and shoot, no hesitation - smooth AF.

I don't understand how a college coach making millions of dollars can't run a functional offense. Like how is the gameplan to isolate Haralson all the time. We have the shooters to run something much better.

Who is this? Cause a 7-foot 5 star is exactly what this team is missing.
Someone like this...lets go for 8'5....she can probably reach like a Bozo bucket shot

I'll take an ugly W anytime. Haralson is not a 1 and done- kid needs to stay and has Certa brought the ball up since Burton's injury?

He’s looked horrible despite all the hype. He definitely has more developing to do & supposedly he chose ND/Shrewsbury for that reason.

Irish tip off against Cal at 11pm tonight. Cal favored by 4.5.

Could pull off a huge 2 game out-West sweep.

Haralson scorching hot to start.

Hopefully that guy howling next to the mic loses his voice by the end of the 1st half.
