College football's dumbest mascot and team nickname return to South Bend. Stanford is seeking their first back-to-back wins in South Bend since 1990/1992.

They don't get it. Their QB returns this week, according to their head coach. Their offense has flashed at times this season, but not against a defense of ND's quality, a well-rested unit, at that. Their secondary is suspect, could be and hoping it's another step in the right direction for Leonard and his WRs.

I'm expecting a bit of a sleepy start off of the bye week, but ND will pull away in the second half with their defense standing strong throughout the afternoon.

ND 31, Stan 13

My experience has been a sluggish ND out of byes. I expect ND leads the entire game, but Stanford scores late to make it only a 7 point game.

Not much of a standings update, no movement at the top with the leaders still at 3. Only 8 of us got the Louisville game correct (I'm on the board!!!!), with 6 grabbing their first points of the season. @sixstar and @TNUtoNotreDame picked up their second points of the season.

@irishnd31 and @Irish#1 remain at 1, but they're trying their best and look really good out there! Keep it up, fellas.
Dammit - I picked the same as @irishnd31 - can I change my vote?

No excuses to not win. Can they avoid the sloppy turnovers? Can they break the trend of scoring on a scripted efficient drive & then going 0-fer until the 2H?

ND: 21
Stan: 7

MF took the bye week to work on the little details while Denbrock used the time with RL. Irish look strong and poised to go undefeated the rest of the way.

I'm predicting a very close win. Coaches repeatedly talking about Riley throwing a lot better in practice makes me think we're in for a "forcing him to throw" sort of game plan. Historically those blow up in our face.

"Revenge" game for ND. Not sure the over hits, so 38-7 or 35-10. We'll be half way through the season without Leonard throwing for 200yds. With Stanford having a pour pass defense, this would be the game for him to hit that mark.

34-13, Leonard passes for 200+ but misses a curl so horrendously in the first half that we all spend halftime wringing our hands
