Exactly

What Stuckey did his first two years getting James, Flores, Greathouse, Faison Williams, Gilbert, and Saldate should be considered the norm/bar

It's not like ND receivers were setting the world on fire the two years leading up to Stuckey getting here
Leming on a recent podcast was kind of saying this. That you are not and do not need to get the ones some recruiting service full of group think and jock sniffers think are the five stars…nope. But in the now times when every one wants to be a receiver instead of db or running back there are dozens upon dozens that will do. Pick five good kids that show a trait and a try hard attitude and let attrition get you down to 2-3 good ones a class. The fact that Brown so far hasn’t come close to that is dereliction of duty. All he did was needlessly trim his board constantly to a final list that was crap. Originally didn’t care for Hall and then when it was becoming a squeeze passed on him to Stanford. When the milf kid visited the word was they didn’t like him enough to push hard. When Hines was ready for a check the word was they didn’t like him enough for a check. Robinson wanted DB FINE…well come on, at that point you needed three and willingly cut down to a list of one. Not a single one of the above in and of itself was gonna change shit. It was back when there was a dozen plus you didn’t visit, slow played, and cut the fat. The person who did that brought the pressure on themselves. AND to then feed me this horse shit when your down to five and need 3 that three of em “hah” (you following recruiting peons…psyche) we dont really like hines, hall, or vines bright anyways. Somehow no production 5 star is gonna fill 3 spots through ummm science and magic. Well numbnuts making this decision how about you go back and read every damn piece on his recruitment that never missed the line of he is also waiting on sec offers/visits. He never lied. His family never lied. Not gonna say shit about him chasing a bag because HE TOLD EVERYONE AT EVERYPOINT he was waiting on $EC…but no lets cut the list to that guy and a safety from cali you had only been on a few months. And just for a reality check. Everyone hates driskell …well WR is the position he coached, it’s the position shit pants vince coached. So give me a damn break that Brown can get FIU’s leading receiver and Beaux Collins plus our proven producers from last year to catch a forward pass.

Mike Frank didn’t hold back when talking about how Brown and by extension Freeman butchered the WR board on the Power Hour episode after Meadows committed to LSU.

Meadows - Should have raised red flags when he was close to committing several times but never pulled the trigger
Hines - Weren’t sure they liked him and wasted a OV on him, Frank said they didn’t really like him at the end of the day
Robinson - Told the staff he preferred to play DB and they apparently ignored that and didn’t expand the board
Hall - Barely paid attention to him until the very end and then said “oh btw, we like you now” and he didn’t have the relationship he had with other staffs

Three things:

1.) Tosh with the 1’s?

2.) Faison beats Ben Mo for a TD. Looks like the ball might be coming out, but maybe he secured it.

3.) No knee brace for Evans, but the scare is very prominent.

Outside of QB, Faison is the guy this season on offense?
At WR maybe but Love and Price should have amazing seasons and be if not the most productive offensive players they should be right at the top. I am also hearing amazing things about the TE’s once again.

I’d put him at #4 or #5 at WR right now. I think Mitchell and Greathouse might be very, very good this year.
Yep, the guys at II said Greathouse looks much more fluid than he did a year ago, which would be a great developmetn with his size and hands.

They also said Beaux Collins looks the part, and Harrison is reportedly quicker than fast. Ironically, I haven't heard much yet about Mitchell but he seems poised to be a top WR for us this year based in his great numbers at FIU.

That's not even counting the TEs, who should have a big year if Evans and Raridon stay healthy.

That says a ton about the WR group. When the lights are on, Faison produces. He needed more touches last season.

Faison benefited last year from Greathouse/Thomas being hurt and the rest of the receivers simply not being good. This year, it’s a totally different story. It’s probably the best position group on the team and he missed all of spring because of lacrosse. I’m not saying he’ll be an after thought, but he’s got competition now.

I don’t think that is the 1’s in the picture with Tosh.
That’s not Faison beating Morrison for a TD, it’s a 1v1 drill in which it’s nearly impossible for a defender to win because there is no pass rush, (unlimited time), no other defenders to worry about, no zone, so basically you have unlimited space & time to get open.
I think they just picked four cool pictures to put on the slide.

Tosh or Wagner are gonna have to move over to the left side, I'm guessing. Terrible fucking news.

Texas a&m just got more difficult. Any chance Knapp could play tackle?

He was backing up Jagusah. I think they moved Absher to guard, with the thought he might be one of the best 5.
My bet is he'll either move to LT or RT if the switch Wagner over.

If 5th year senior, former 5 star Tosh Baker can't be even average at OT, then why is he on scholarship?
Right. This is bad news certainly, but I think we will be okay. Whoever is going to be starting LT will get plenty of reps against one of the best DLs in college football in camp and won't be a slouch (knocks on wood)

It suck’s for him but hardly ends the season before it even starts. Damn this board is insufferable whenever any adversity comes up. You guys must be some serious masochists. Do you have safe words to use with your wives when they make you cry.
